You'll see varying opinions on this forum regarding Blu. JMO, there are better out there, such as Smokeless Image or Vapor4Life. Some people really love the 510 starter kits and others prefer the fat batts such as the Riva or eGo. Those are especially good for heavy smokers and won't break the bank.

The good side of the Blu is that they use regular 510 cartomizers, so buying cartos and filling them with your own juice will be easy. The down side is battery life between charges; it sucks, so you'll probably be spending a lot more time recharging than vaping.

It's fine to start on. It's one of the tiny models new vapers are drawn and by the end of the month you will probably try another model. If Blu's batteries are still the same, then they are only 100mah, which is shorter even compared to the shortest battery life mini we recommend as a starter (Joye 510 manual at 180mah).

BTW - Blu has 510 threading but is reverse polarity from normal 510 models so never even charge a Blu battery in a 510 charger nor vice versa - will fry.

Here is the Blu section of ECF
Blu Electronic Cigarettes

I started on a tiny model then moved up one step to the slim minis (180-320mah manuals, 510 and KR808D-1) before the end of the first month of vaping. And some skip those and go to the fat battery models and mods. It's pretty typical that many end their first month vaping something other than what they started on.

The Blu is a well thought-out "everything you need in one package" product. It is perfect for sneak-vaping in airplane lavatories. (Not that I recommend such things, of course.)

Positives -- it comes with a nice PCC that works well and has everything you need right out of the box.
Negatives -- non-standard battery (its polarity is reverse the standard 510), limited choice of flavors, really bad battery life, no manual battery option.

The Blu was my introduction to vaping -- I got one for a trip I was taking where I'd have a long airport layover. It worked fine for that.

But as an everyday vaping device? IMHO both the standard kr808d-1 and 510 systems run circles around it.

I started with a Blu-cig, my son gave me a Blue-cig kit in May of this year. I was not happy with it. The battery would last about one half hour. I was always charging. Got tired of the hassel and got a Ego with 2.0 cartos. Been happy since. The Blu at least got me off the cigars,( I inhaled them) and I am glad for that .

I think we ought to tell it like it is: on this and other vaping forums, for every one person who states they like the Blu, you will get 30+ who say it's terrible. If you smoke 5-6 cigarettes a day and just need something in your hand to take a puff on once every couple of hours, it would probably be all you need. Otherwise, there are about 50 better models than the Blu.
