Hello all,

I am gonna try the whole ecig/ vapo deal to kick the habit, if it ends up being a replacement instead, well I can live with that... no smell, no coughing, sounds good to me.

So here is my NooB question, is Blu E-cig company any good, I did a quick search here and couldn't find any reviews, mind you I said quick search

I appreciate your opinions...

www blucigs .com for the regular site. sorry too new for hyperlinks

The site above isn't the Blu company but my work server has tobacco blocked :| so this random one sells em. I believe it's The starter kit comes with everything and is only 60 bucks shipped, beats the hell out of some of the other ones, but is it worth it? hard to find quality reviews.

Thanks for your help!

Ok, well I am a noob and I do want to try this ecig deal, I like the fact that I can carry something small around, have it look and feel like a cigarette and be cheaper in the long run w/ less negative side effects.

Whats the best deal? Is Blu ok? How does it stand up to the Smoking Stick?

I just bought my first e-cig after copious amounts of research. The two that stood out to me were the Joye 510 and the Tornado (also known as the eGo). Check those out - they seem to be the consensus choices for those who are just starting out.

Edit: Be sure to get the manual batteries. Virtually everyone here will tell you they're better for a variety of reasons.

I have a couple friends that started out with the blue e-cig and no more then 2 weeks later picked up the eGo. The battery life is less than satisfactory even though you get the Pcc. I think many of the people on the forum would recommend a 510 model or something similar. Personally I'm using a dse901 and haven't had any complaints.

Save yourself A LOT of Time AND Money and just go for the BEST that just also happens to be the BEST price (NOOBS & GRADS alike). Go to Cignot.com and grab a MANUAL Joye-510 (no box) starter Kit for $35 ($40 shipped)..you get 2 complete Joye 510 eCigs (with pre-filled cartridges) with a wall charger. Grab a few bottles of Nic Juice and you'll be good to go. A Nice PCC ($25.00) will keep you vape-in steady when you're out & about .... vape one while the other is charging. That's OK.. you can THANK me later.... ;)

You guys are great, I appreciate the honesty, Just read through a few of the sticky's and now its pretty clear to me why the auto's can be more problematic. I think the 901 sounds good to me!

901s are good..... 510s are better.... * (humble opinion... tried them both)... ;)

Got to chime in here. I've had blu's for about 3 months now and the only problem I've had so far: I've lost one battery and the PCC. BUT, I got online with the customer service section, mailed the failed battery back to them and within 7 days, had a brand new one and the same with the PCC. I honestly think the PCC problem was my fault, I tried to plug it into one of those "pick a voltage" car adapters into it and maybe it didn't like it. Still using the same atty's but bought two for a back up. They give you a one year warranty on all their stuff and they honor it. Pretty cool I thought. No hassels or anything. I'm thinking about trying the 510's from that exact same site myself actually as I've heard some of the blu's/510 parts are interchangable. Don't be scared ordering from Blu.

I'm the exception to the rule!
:)

I started with manuals on my 510, and just got a couple autos from cignot - I now prefer the autos!

I also have a Blu...
Although the carts don't really hold very much and the batteries die pretty quickly, I really like it for dripping new flavors on the atty.
And the PCC holds 5 cart/atty combos, so it works fine for an evening out...

For around-the-house vaping, though, I wouldn't recommend it.
Either the 510 (more TH and vapor) or a KR8 (more flavor and longer battery life than either of them) are my choices.
YMMV...

I got my FIRST EVER e cig kit on Saturday ( yes- April 10th 2010) it is a Blu.

Its ok...Battery life has frustrated me ( I have to charge every 2hours or LESS)....the prefilled carts SUCK...both on for flavor AND Vapor
....HOWEVER..I ordered liquid and as soon as I refilled a cart HUGE vapor ( compared to what it was with the prefills) also TASTES better....

So I think the Blu is OK....HOWEVER...I am ordering a 510 next Thurday (payday)....LOL

I'm NEW also so I dont have anything to compare it to...all I CAN say is that I have only had 3 analogs since I got my e cig ( was smoking 1-2 pks a day Marlboros). ...and only because my hubby was using the second Battery...and BOTH were dead/CHARGING at the same time....So....I cant complain to much:)

The battery life is going to end up frustrating you with ANY standard e-cig (with the possible exception of the Ego). I guess that's part of the initiation. It took me a week or so before I no longer cared if me e-cg looked like a cigarette or not and started looking at big battery mods. It ends up being worth it to have a battery that lasts a couplke days instead of a couple of hours but I guess all this comes in it's own time. Good luck and enjoy the ride!

Cool, don't feel bad about either order as having a backup and 2nd device is the way to go. Just because you order a 510 doesn't mean you can't vape your blu anymore and vice versa. You'll find you'll like a certain flavor in one device better .

To the OP. Congrats on the choice I think it's(901) a good all rounder from what I've heard.

Same boat as I am in now. I got the blucig first. After the atty got broke in after a few days it started working wonders, and its built to drip with not use a cart. Very happy with it. Alas I turned around and sold the unit to my friend at work who is now hooked on ecigs and used that money to get the Joye 510 from cignots. I have to say day two is far better than day one with it. I only got it since its always praised as THE go to for ecigs at least before mods come into play.

Truth be told, its vapes up a storm of vapor...

Batteries suck, but im really digging the manual button though just preference.

The blu does have better flavor on some juices though.

The joye so far is not leaps and bounds better than blu as I was lead to believe, but I will admit it does perform better, but not as much as I was told it would do.

Next purchase debates are. DSE 901, Silver bullet (so tempted by 6volts) Screw Driver (I wanted this as my first, didnt get it, but still want it) Chuck or purchase the tornado parts to enhance my current 510 on the cheap with special atty for the 5 volt trial.

I just got Both a Blucig starter kit, and a Joye 510 starter kit today in the mail.

One of the batts on the Joye kit was bunk, but the company seems more than willing to replace it for me (Awesome)

I like the blu fine enough, and the 510 seems novel, with a pushbutton, but I'm sure as I try different flavors, and break them in, I'll develop more preferences.

Overall, as far as first impressions, I rather like them both!

The blu cigs carts I got look to have a larger resivoir than I have seen in refill / mod videos, also the Classic Tobacco flavor carton has a Johnsons Creek logo on it (I guess they're providing the juice now?)

You may want to check out Vapor4Life - I've been using their stuff for two months and absolutely adore it. Cartomizers are great for starting out - no atomizer to fuss with and super easy to clean, refill and use. Plus they take good care of you on the customer service end. Plus they have a good selection of battery lengths and colors, in auto or manual (I recommend having both).

I haven't had any desire to even look at anything else. YMMV.

Blu was my first kit. It was a waste of $60.
I quickly replaced them with a Joye 510 and my Blu's haven't been touched since.

Go with the 510.
901 Atomizers aren't so great, in my opinion.

Also, Blu's shipping / processing is absolutely horrible.
They'll take weeks to get to you. I'm not kidding.

Don't worry about the depth of the carts. You'll most likely find yourself dripping soon enough as it is.
Also, the Blu flavors are pretty mediocre.

Order a Joye 510 with a Manual battery and grab yourself some juice from Tasty Vapor and you'll be set.

Blu would be a good first set if they were about $40 cheaper. That would be the only circumstance I would suggest them.

I ordered Blucig March 12, received e-mail the 29 they had been shipped. They also charged my credit card the 29th. As of April 16 I still do not have them. I write to them everyday, maybe they will get tired of hearing from me and send them. Very poor customer service.

Have you done the "live help chat" thingy? or call and get a live person....

When I ordered from them it took a week to get my kit ( ordered April1st and received April10th.)....Maybe I was a lucky one!!!...I have read a lot about Blu and their awful delivery times....
