Hi,

I have a blu pack and the battery doesn't seem to charge. The blue light comes on indicating the pack is being charged and when it goes off I assume it will charge the battery. But the red battery light flashes exactly 6 times and then goes off and the battery never charges. Am I doing something wrong or is the battery gone? I am travelling and only have the mini usb cord to charge the pack and cant get a hold of any other charger where I am. Wish I could use my logic charger to charge the blu battery!

Thanks!

In my experience with the Blu kits, leaving them in the pack too long had a tendency to kill the batteries...Like, completely. Anything longer than about an hour and the batts would overcharge and become completely useless. I would NEVER recommend Blu to anyone, simply because they have so many issues. Including that awful burnt taste they sometimes get after prolonged use, and that acidic burn in the back of your throat...Try taking one apart, and see what I mean. I did, and my wicks were almost entirely black.

EDIT: Also, the disposable Blus often didn't work for me...And by that I mean they didn't even fire. Right out of the box.

I started with Blu and I had the same experience you're having now more times than I care to remember. I'd have to agree with some of the folks above that it sounds like a dead battery. The only suggestion I have (other than switching to V2 or even moving on to something more advanced) is making sure your battery and PCC (pack) contacts are clean so you're getting a good connection for it to charge. I went through four Blu PCCs and managed to save one by cleaning the contacts with a cotton swab that was barely dampened with rubbing alcohol. Good luck.

It sound's like your battery is shot. I am not sure if you are using cig a likes because you are newer to vaping and they are more advertized or if you want to use cig a likes because of their size/convenience/closer to feel of analog. If you want to stick with them for now, I can tell you what works for me.

I personally love cig a likes because of their small size, but have never tried Blu. I like my V2s and for not much money it is easy to get started with V2s, I had already started with Eversmoke, and I do still use them, but you can pick up a V2 shorty battery for less than $15, a rapid charger that has built in overcharge protection (supposedly) for $10, and a box of blank carts for $8. Then you are set to try out whatever E juice you like, and I re-use my blanks until they kick the bucket, they average about 5 refills each time for me.

Another option if you just want portable cig a likes and not have to worry about charging the battery, is disposables, and I personally like the White Cloud Flings and mini Flings. You can buy them in all sorts of ways (individually, 5s, 20s, 50s etc) and they have a soft tip, tons of flavors, lots of vapor for a disposable, a cool product, especially for people on the go who don't want to charge, switch batteries and load or buy prefilled carts.

I had lots of problems with Blu. bought 2 separate starter packs and all sorts of battery and cartridge problems. I finally switched to something better and never looked back.

Ok, confession.. I still have my Blu batteries and PCC. When I accidently let all my batteries die, a Blu Battery will power my Vivi Nova tank long enough to charge my other batteries. :D

My V2s did the same thing, it turned out that the battery was done for. Once a battery stops holding a charge it's just trash, but make sure you check with a different atomizer first just incase.

One of the distinguishing reasons to go with V2 for cigalikes is that they will replace any malfunctioning battery free of charge (other than the stamps required to mail the malfunctioning battery back to them).

I can attest to the quality of the Mistic e-cigs, although they, too, can be a little bit on the pricey side. Walmart sells a disposable called Mistic Black for about $6 a pop, and of course there are always the rechargeable ones as well. I loved them when they first started out, simply because I could charge them in my car's stereo system via USB. Sadly, my local Walmart stopped carrying them, which is why I chose to move on to the Kanger EVOD starter kit and get "serious" about vaping. The only issue I had with the Mistics was vaping through the carts like they were nothing...And, trust me, that can get costly. But if you're new to vaping, and you want that cigarette feel, you really can't go wrong with the Mistics. Eventually you may find yourself wanting "more" out of your e-cig, but as a starter kit, they're not too bad.

If you go on the NJOY website, it's worth noting that you can actually request a free NJOY King be sent to you in the mail. That may be something to consider, since you'll probably want something to hold you over until you find a better product. I'm not a big fan of the NJOY, but they are nice. They're even wrapped in paper, making them that much more similar to analog cigarettes.

I also started with blu ecigs I got the starter pack and the batteries kept dying like twice a day and then after a week one was gone for good... I got so lucky that a friend I hadn't seen in a couple years just got out of trouble and i was able to go to his house. turns out everyone in the house had switched to vaping and had Smok brand batteries and things of that sort like the 1300 winder. I went to the ecig store and was thinking.. I just speant all this on the blu starter pack and carts about 5 days before after liking vaping by trying a few disposables... but I leapt for it and bought a smok 1300 starter kit with a bottom coil tank and could not have been more pleased, especially having the choice of any juice you want you will save so much more money. though the tank started leaking eventually I had to upgrade (but this type of thing is usually user error) now I have a provari and iclear30s/protank 2 and couldn't be more happy (still have the 1300 as backup if needed...its a great vaper and started me off perfect) Blu's are seeming like a good thing to at least introduce people though I had no idea there was ecig stores in my town lol. a starter kit with a battery and a tank might be the way to go for about the same price :) I know I felt like crap for buying the blu then getting a 1300 mah winder like 5 days later because I didn't know but its a whole new world of vaping if your getting serious. but if the blu are working for you that's good, I did hear they have some not so happy ingredients (nothing like as bad as a cig but they are now owned by a big cig company, lorrilard who makes newports, old gold, ect.) I say jump for it and get a new setup you wont be un satisfied :) im not being very helpful about your battery though sorry :( just wanted to mention I had similar problem and then when I upgraded it was so much better.. I thought having something the size of a cig would matter but having something that performs like a boss is all that matters now, size is almost irrelevant as long as its portable and most set ups are not too big, will fit in your pocket and are like a big fat cigar or something. sorry for not being very helpful on the battery though just had to share. good luck buddy hope you find something that works for you
