I've been ordering from them for 6 months.
This is the first time this has happened.
My points are good for half off one box of carts.
I'll pay the tax for one. But since their shipping takes forever.
I usually order four at a time. Plus you get 20% off.
Volcano has kiosks everywhere.
My order from them was tax free.
But their cartomizers sucked.
I'll just use the Spinfuel code, and place another order with Jet.

In theory, any internet business is supposed to collect State sales taxes based on your billing address and turn that revenue over to the State you reside in. In practice very few do it. There was supposed to be a bill mandating State sales taxes be collected on all internet sales but it appears to have died a quiet death for the moment.

Lorillard, which owns Blue, is headquartered in North Carolina (it's a Delaware corporation), but whether out-of-state sales tax is charged is determined by whether the vendor has what's called a "presence" in your state. A "presence" can be as little as a Regus rented office with a shared receptionist rented for a month for a meeting of some sort. Possibly, Lorillard has such a "presence." It's also possible that Lorillard owns a cigarette and tobacco products distributing operation in Minnesota. Such would establish a "presence" in Minnesota. You might want to call them and check. I checked their website: no information.

Any 510 threaded carto will fit a blu. blu is a model l88b same as the small Volcanos. They are basically a 510 with reverse polarity. You really do not have to buy cartos from them if you do not want to. I ordered something unrelated from an out of state vendor on eBay recently that charged me sales tax. Ticked me off! I will never order from them again.

I use the Blu Premium 100.
The Jet Batteries are more like Volcano & smaller Blu batteries.
Wish I liked the Volcano cartos. Ordered 3 different flavors.
They burn on my Blu battery. Vapor is weak. Flavors aren't terrible.
But compared to Blu & Jet they suck. Cherry Crush is a great flavor.
Cherry Lava tastes like cough drops. Pineapple reminds me of an unsweetened juice box. Milk Chocolate is like vaping Ovaltine.
Glad I bought the Vea, instead of an Inferno now.
This is my last order with Blu.
I've used up most of my points. Gave them $7 for a five pack with tax.
It will be here in about two weeks. Jet ships the next day.
Volcano's shipping and prices were great.
Their cartos aren't even wrapped. Just plugged up on both sides.
The stickers are all falling off. Now I know why they're always on sale.

I had some points saved up.
When I put some cartridges in my cart.
They added sales tax!
I live in Minnesota. They're in North Carolina.
No other vendor does this.
I'll eat the points & just order again from Jet.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I say order from Jet! Use coupon code "BillyDee" for 10 percent off your order.

So, the tax was more than the points? I honestly don't understand why folks don't want to pay tax. I like taxes. Taxes pay for civilization. I like civilization.

I wish you'd tell that to your fellow Callifornians who are moving en masse to my beloved Texas, because California big governmented themselves to death.

I checked on the new laws.
It's the consumer's responsibility to pay any online sales tax.
But it's kind of a loophole. Retailers aren't supposed to charge.
Who knows if Blu is even kicking the tax over?
I paid the 50 cents. Since it was already half off.
It's just another reason not to order from Blu.
Does anyone know if Johnson Creek 510 blanks, (not the Vea ones) function on Blu batteries? They're only 4 bucks for 5.
JC is secretive about compatibility. Must be part of their deal with Blu.
Magic Mist also has blanks, that are designed for Blu.
But they're twice the price. Who knows if they're even any good?

Uh huh. Tell that to your Governer Rick Perry who takes those federal dollars CA sends in to subsidize your public works, er, civilization. Everybody loves a free lunch, eh, Texas?

It's a bit over-crowded here in CA at the moment, we can afford to bleed off a few takers.

Now that's enough of that, OK? Smacking each other around is no fun. I didn't disparage anyone, simply suggested that sales tax isn't such a bad idea. Let's not go there.

I guess if shipping is free, then sales tax is a wash.
Johnson Creek hasn't started charging tax yet.
But unless you spend $50 for free shipping, it's not worth ordering.
They only ship UPS and it's at least $10.
Volcano only uses priority mail or fedex.
Add sales tax to that & their prices are just as high as Blu.
Blu at least has free shipping for every order.
It just takes forever for it to show up.
My girlfriend just placed an order with Jet.
$26 for 20 cartridges shipped. They'll be here by Friday.
If I'm lucky, my Blu order will process by then.
I'm glad I bought the Vea & am refilling my own now.
Better stock up on juice, before Uncle Sam starts taxing it like cigs.

A little off topic, but maybe it's time to graduate to something other than the blu. The blu is a piece of garbage. I have one of their premium kits, and although it looks really nice, it doesn't hold a candle to a simple ego battery. My blu kit now sits in a drawer unused and collecting dust. If you can get past wanting it to look like a cigarette, you should try an ego battery. You'll never look back.

there working on the laws (if its not already passed) that requires collectable tax on ALL online purchases. All your major places are already doing it especially if they have stores or products being sold in your state. Times are changing and Uncle Sam wants it cut even on the internet. (your required individually to pay use tax at the end of the year for anything prior purchased online anyways) there just now cracking down on it.
