Hello everyone, just recently started playing with the PTB filler with my blu/volcano carts, and I have a problem or two. My first one was way too much filler, it was like trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose. At this point I seem to have it working pretty well, when it works, but there are times when it doesn't do anything but leak. I'm assuming this is because I'm not using the right amount of material, or am not putting it into the cart right. (I'm sure I can chalk one or two of those up to overfilling, but not all of them.) I've tried varying amounts of the filler, and have managed to get one or two decent ones so far, and when it does work, it's incredible. Is there anything anyone can tell me with regards to using this filler with the blu carts, ie how much to use, a good way to fold it/stuff it in the carts, anything useful regarding the mod. (Any other filler recommendations that you have found work well with your blu would be welcome as well.)

Thanks :D

I too own a blu and a 510. With the blu I have recently tried the M801 atty with it and it makes for a much better experience. I got both the atty's and carts from LiteCigUSA. Also, I tried the PTB and had little success. What I found that is perfect is the Marineland Rite Size Foam Sleeves with a small ball of poly on top. No more leaky carts, good flavor, and much better vapor production. For me, this is how the blu should have worked from the beggining. If you search around the forum for "blue foam" there's a video on how to do it. Not only is it easier to work with than PTB, it's a lot cheaper!

Do you guys like the Blu? I heard different things on it.
I prefer my 510 hands down! Especially if you are going to refill your own carts. For someone that doesn't want to mess with refilling and use only the prefilled carts, I can see where this is a nice unit. It's small, lightweight, and about the size of a standard king analog. The 510 is more powerful, especially with manual batteries and gives better thoat hit when refilling yourself. JMO

So far the blu is my only PV, (unless you want to count the supplies I order from volcano, lol) but so far I like it. I've had mine for maybe 3 months, and no major problems. There are a few issues that can be worked around, most of my problems have been solved with the right cart mod. The thing that I think is probably worst about it is the battery life, but I didn't notice that really until i had to stop using the PCC. And of course, as small as the batteries are, it's not really a surprise they don't last very long. It would be nice to have the option of a manual battery for it, at the very least for concerts at the like, because as loud as most concerts are, the vibration and noise is enough to cause your batteries to activate when it's not being used, and of course this drains your battery. I do like the prefilled carts, to a point. They have good flavor, and vapor, for a little bit. When the cart is maybe half gone or so, it becomes somewhat of a chore to get the liquid to wick properly, but this is mainly a problem with the filler they use from what I understand. Also, it doesn't exactly taste pleasant when you're sucking on a dry cart, but depending on the filler you're using, I'm sure that can happen with other units as well. As for vapor, throat hit and all of that, I've found the right mods to the cart along with the right liquid does wonders. The atomizers actually work well imo. They last a long time from what I've read other places about having to replace atty's after a week or two. (not too sure on this time frame, as I said this is my only PV). I've killed one of them that came with the kit, and I'm sure the other one isn't too far behind, but 2 months on one atty I think is pretty good. They're also pretty cheap for as long as they seem to last. Overall, i think it's a good starter for someone who has no experience with PVs, but there are most certainly better units out there. Last note on that, I haven't had to deal with their customer service much, but that's where I've heard the worst parts about them. My only real experience with that was the waiting for it to show up in august, and then here recently with the whole PCC malfunction and waiting for them to send out the new ones.

Thanks for the suggestion on the shredded PTB, I've played with that idea a bit and I thnk it should work out nicely once I figure the best way to work that for the tiny little blu carts.

I have yet to look for the blue foam videos, but I fully intend to give that a shot as well once I use all the the PTB I already bought.
