Blu/Volcano passthrough

I know you guys hate the mention of these e cigs, but I've got a couple of trashed batteries from one I dont smoke anymore.. If I soldered up one of these to fit the blu atty, would the 5v from a usb port trash the atty in an instant? I'm not sure how much voltage the blu batteries put out but is there any way the atty would handle it?

Even though the carts and battery life sucks, it works just as good as any other cig when dripping.. So a passthrough would be pretty sweet, I assume..

If the atty cant handle it, is there something I could stick in there to bring the voltage down to something the blus atty can handle?

I have done this using a Nico Stick as the box to house it all and works wonderfully.

I also would like to mention that Tony from Modern Vapor is getting passthroughs made for the Volcano/Blu/Sidesho. Not sure about availability but if you go to the Modern Vapor forum there is a thread about it.

i have a 510 passthru manual that i got from heavengifts

it has an inline battery so i assume its only at 3.7volts but it works like a dream on the blu atty - how did this go for you?

For me the Blu atty really came alive with 5 volts using straight USB power.

Same-been using the volcano/blu atty's at 5 volts for some time now and they work fine, + great for dipping. Another bonus is they interchange with 510 threads, so any mods I make can use either atty (I make both RCA and regular type connections). And at around 5 bucks each, the price is right lol.

So the 510 and volcano/blu attys are interchangeable? I recently got a volcano and if I can use the 510 usb passthrough, I'm gonna order one.

Yes it should-at least any Volcano attys I have screw right into the 510 batts/connectors.
