Alright so this is my first review.
First off this is coming from a newcomers perspective. Please keep this in mind while reading. I am by no means a pro. I have a lot to learn still. But I hope this information could help someone make an informative decision.
My blu was the first ecig I bought, It was alright although I was a bit disappointed with it. After some tinkering I got it working just fine though.
Experiences:
Blu =D =D =D
First off my order was delayed for an entire month, I wanted the black ecig but they put my order on backorder because they ran out. Now that isn't a problem for me I am a patient person, the thing that really grinded my gears was the fact that nobody thought "lets send out an email to our customers!" I got my ecig and felt as if I wasn't getting enough vapor, contacted CS and they gave me some helpful hints and suggestions. Their online chat makes working with them that much easier, although it's a tad slow.
Volcano =D =D =D =D =
Honestly, they are faster and have better people skills then Blu. I have yet to have a problem with them so I will keep you posted if one arrives.
Quality:
Both Blu and Volcano are from the same manufacture.
Blu =D =D =D
Produces little vapor at times, and loads the next.
Volcano =D =D =D =D
I can't explain it (Maybe someone out there can) but Volcano definitely produces more vapor. I would have to say the Volcano produced more vapor with a low almost dead battery then the Blu can consistently produce with a fresh charged battery and a fresh cartridge. Maybe it's because it's newer but even my new blu produced less vapor.
Taste:
I am convinced that the two companies make their own eliquids.
Blu =D =D =D =D
The taste is awesome, I do enjoy it very much. Only one I don't care for is the nasty java, and I am a coffee lover.
Volcano =D =D =D =D
The menthol is mentholly, the Pineapple is pineapply. I actually REALLY like the pineapple flavor, I have actually gotten cravings for the pineapple. Milk Chocolate wasn't their best idea I think.
Overall
I think both ecigs are about the same. Same model, same manufacture, and both are very similar in taste. But there is just something about my Volcano that I enjoy more. I got to get the color I wanted with my Volcano instead of having to switch to another color because they unexpectedly ran out. The Flavors are very similar, but I like the menthol from volcano a bit more then blu. I can't explain why I do I just do, there is a high chance that both come from the same place.
I think the overall winner is Volcano. Their customer service and the fact that they sell blank cartridges make them an awesome company. Their pineapple is definitely something to try.
Tips to using Blu & Volcano:
1. If your ecig doesn't produce enough vapor, try tapping the ecig with the LED pointing down. Give it a nice easy patting motion to help push down some of the eliquid. This works pretty well for me especially when a cartridge gets low.
2. Take it easy, take nice easy long drags. It takes some practice for those like me who are so used to sucking on an analog.
3. My biggest tip is, go in with an open mind. Don't jump on an ecig and think that it's supposed to be EXACTLY like an analog. They are two very different things doing the same job. (It's like comparing an analog to gum or the patch)
I will continue to update this review as much as possible.
Also I have found by using both ecigs at once, I got such a massive amount of vapor that I think some came out of my ears.
