Alright so this is my first review.

First off this is coming from a newcomers perspective. Please keep this in mind while reading. I am by no means a pro. I have a lot to learn still. But I hope this information could help someone make an informative decision.

My blu was the first ecig I bought, It was alright although I was a bit disappointed with it. After some tinkering I got it working just fine though.

Experiences:

Blu =D =D =D

First off my order was delayed for an entire month, I wanted the black ecig but they put my order on backorder because they ran out. Now that isn't a problem for me I am a patient person, the thing that really grinded my gears was the fact that nobody thought "lets send out an email to our customers!" I got my ecig and felt as if I wasn't getting enough vapor, contacted CS and they gave me some helpful hints and suggestions. Their online chat makes working with them that much easier, although it's a tad slow.

Volcano =D =D =D =D =

Honestly, they are faster and have better people skills then Blu. I have yet to have a problem with them so I will keep you posted if one arrives.

Quality:

Both Blu and Volcano are from the same manufacture.

Blu =D =D =D

Produces little vapor at times, and loads the next.

Volcano =D =D =D =D

I can't explain it (Maybe someone out there can) but Volcano definitely produces more vapor. I would have to say the Volcano produced more vapor with a low almost dead battery then the Blu can consistently produce with a fresh charged battery and a fresh cartridge. Maybe it's because it's newer but even my new blu produced less vapor.

Taste:

I am convinced that the two companies make their own eliquids.

Blu =D =D =D =D

The taste is awesome, I do enjoy it very much. Only one I don't care for is the nasty java, and I am a coffee lover.

Volcano =D =D =D =D

The menthol is mentholly, the Pineapple is pineapply. I actually REALLY like the pineapple flavor, I have actually gotten cravings for the pineapple. Milk Chocolate wasn't their best idea I think.

Overall

I think both ecigs are about the same. Same model, same manufacture, and both are very similar in taste. But there is just something about my Volcano that I enjoy more. I got to get the color I wanted with my Volcano instead of having to switch to another color because they unexpectedly ran out. The Flavors are very similar, but I like the menthol from volcano a bit more then blu. I can't explain why I do I just do, there is a high chance that both come from the same place.

I think the overall winner is Volcano. Their customer service and the fact that they sell blank cartridges make them an awesome company. Their pineapple is definitely something to try.

Tips to using Blu & Volcano:

1. If your ecig doesn't produce enough vapor, try tapping the ecig with the LED pointing down. Give it a nice easy patting motion to help push down some of the eliquid. This works pretty well for me especially when a cartridge gets low.

2. Take it easy, take nice easy long drags. It takes some practice for those like me who are so used to sucking on an analog.

3. My biggest tip is, go in with an open mind. Don't jump on an ecig and think that it's supposed to be EXACTLY like an analog. They are two very different things doing the same job. (It's like comparing an analog to gum or the patch)

I will continue to update this review as much as possible.

Also I have found by using both ecigs at once, I got such a massive amount of vapor that I think some came out of my ears.

I have been using the Volcano for about 2 months. I think it works quite well for a small unit. I have contacted them through email and phone, and they have always been prompt and courteous, and have quickly resolved any issues I had. It seems to be run by 2 or 3 people and they appear to be making a sincere effort to build a reputable company.

A friend of mine has the Volcano, they have always been quick at helping him with any issues. I must say that I am not impressed with the vapor production on these units myself, but that might be a bad atomizer.

Give it some time. It takes the attys a little while to break in. Plus there are some pretty wide variances in vapor production depending on what kind of juice your using. Some brands of juice will fog up my car like a smoke bomb whereas others are barely a wisp (which is handy for stealth vaping).

The only thing I liked about Blu was its taste... until I found Greentip on greentipusa.com. I love fruit flavors like strawberry and cherry, and Greentip literally tastes like hookah with a cigarette feel to it. Their vanilla is very nice as well. I haven't tried volcano yet, but I hear good things about it too other than battery life.

I like Volcano just fine for what it is. I prefer an e-cig that looks like an analog, and Volcano fits the bill. I actually first bought from a company called EkoCig (same as Blu, but with a red LED like Volcano), but they were so bogged down with customs issues that they couldn't replace a bad battery that came with my starter pack. So I ordered two batteries from Volcano.

One of those was bad, too, but Volcano promptly replaced it. Good customer service, fast shipping, and nice-tasting carts.

But I have to agree that this model of e-cig (L88b) does tend to be inconsistent with vapor production. For example, I sucked on it all day and got no throat hit, but 10 minutes ago, with barely a full pull on it, I was coughing from an amount of vapor I did not expect. Odd.

I made the mistake of buying blu, they didn't get my order right, and they charged me with the black pack, not even letting me know on their webbie that they were out of it till a few months so I ended up with a white pack.... to me thats false advertisement.

I do like how small the model is and lightweight it is but not one of that model I'll get is prolly Volcano... if I can get my cash back.

Blu was my first e-cig and I have not had any bad issues with it yet. However since finding this forum and learning more about vaping than anywhere else, I have ordered 808's and 901's as well as a Juice Box, they almost seem a thing of the past. I did order 2 cartons of cartridges before I stumbled on this site but I think that when they run out that will be it. Too many superior products out there to stick with them and I may end up giving them to my daughter.

I just got my Blu. Before that I was using a Nova smoke (stay away from that one). For $60 bucks you get 25 cartridges (5 flavors), 2 atomizers, 2 batteries, a USB charger, a wall charger, and a ecig case which can be charged and will charge your ecig on the go.

In comparison to the one I was using before, Blu is like dream. Of course, I'm new to this as well, so this is from a newbies perspective.

My husband got the Blu for me for Christmas. Like you, it was on back order and we didn't know until we contacted them to find out why is was taking forever for the order to process. My husband made the call, and found them courteous, prompt, and informative. Once the order was processed it took a week to get here, which isn't bad.

One downside to purchasing the Blu is that they say you get a 30 day money back guarantee, but it's a bit deceptive. From what we were told you only get the money back if nothing is used, so if you try it, and don't like it, you're stuck with it. You do, however, get a 1 year warantee. I would imagine the more expensive and better quality brands have the same kind of set up.

The draw on it was a bit difficult to figure out at first. No matter how slow, fast, strong, or weak the draw was, it felt like I was getting little vapor. After examining it closely I noticed that the inside of the cartridges have a foil cap inside that is punctured by the atomizer when you connect it. You have to twist it and mess with it a bit, but the wider the perforation of the foil inside, the more vapor you get. I accidentally removed the foil one time and almost choked on the amount of vapor I got. I was drawing too strongly, but since then I've got it figured out.

The taste is nice. My Nova Smoke had an awful sweet taste to it, a poor aftertaste, and a consistently painful throat hit. The Blu tastes better to me, no matter what flavor (I haven't tried cherry, since I hate cherry flavor in anything). The throat hit is touch and go. Most of the time the throat hit is just right, but if you get too much vapor sometimes it hurts.

In my opinion, for the price of the product, it's pretty good. I don't want to spend upwards of $100 on a product I intend to use to wean myself off of cigarettes. I don't have that kind of money.

It's $60 for a nice starter kit, free shipping for the kit and the cartridges, and it isn't god awful, so, while I know there are better ecigs out there, I think the Blu isn't bad for the price. It's something I would probably recommend to a friend.

i have been using the NUCIG advanced pro 2 which happens to be the same as BLU and i agree that the vape is variable.

i can take a draw and have it hit the back of my throat and make me cough and then the next i bearly get a whisp off it.

the first atomizer took a bit to wear in and the original taste was horrible i though about throwing the thing away as i could not stick the taste of it. but now the taste of the nucig carts is very nice. got some marlb carts and B&H liquid coming tomorrow so will see how they go but they are going to my first venture down into 0nic

cart life is alot longer than i expected with me going through jut over 1.5 cart a day and i was a 30 a day smoker

as i have 4 atomizers and 5 batteries have spent all night with 2 in my mouth ans the vape off that is crazy

The thing about the blus is you can't rely on the pre-filled carts. They are very inconsistent and the foil thing is an inconvenience. After I got my blu and found out how long the carts actually lasted I did the math and found that it would only be very slightly cheaper if I was to keep buying the pre-filled carts. You just have to buy your own juice for it to be cost effective and satisfying. I still use my blu when going out and I get very consistent vapor when I dip. The pcc is great looking and about the size of a regular pack of cigs.

Also, the blu atty takes a while to break in. They really gunk the things up for transport.

Hey guys this is my first post but, I have a blu and it's really touchy sometimes it hits pretty good the next its like the battery is dead or it's out of juice it's really annoying. I just ordered the ego though=] ohh and the carts always have leftover liquid in them when they stop vaping.

If you watch some videos on using the blu and how to refill it, the thing works like a champ (imo). I love the convenience when I'm on the go. I don't have to constantly top-off like I do with the 510 because I always have 5 carts with me in the pcc. When you push the inner cart a little closer to the atty it produces nice vapor.

No, I don't work for blu nor represent them as the best ecig, but I love the thing.

To tell you the truth I own the blu/volcano and the 510 manual..
And I use my blu/volcano more than my 510.. I've had both for about 4 weeks..

Initially I was dissapointed with the blu.. Inconsistant vapor/throat hit.. Less flavor etc...

But with proper mods.. You can make the blu/volcano an amazing ecig..

I don't bother with prefilled carts cuz quite frankly.. They suck..

I fill the inner cart with juice (I use striclyejuice and esmokey)
..and use the PTB mod in conjunction with the spring mod (or Auto dripper mod)

and I get GREAT and consistant vapor with good throat hit.. Everytime..
The only time I get little vapor is when the cart isnout of liquid or the batt is about to die.. (which I do admit is more often than I like but with the pcc it's not an issue)

I do love my 510, but I love my blu a lil more (maybe it's jus because the pcc and the actual ecig is sexier and more functional (pcc))

trust me.. Do the mods, buy juice and ull love your blu SO much more

I don't get why the blu/volcano is so looked down upon here.. It's a great unit if u give it a lil love and a boob job.. My guess is that the customer service/shipping is/was blus doom here in thus forum..

Anyway.. Good luck with ur blu, and give it a chance before u discard it :)
