Mods please move this to review forum, I posted it in the wrong forum.

Hi, I'm new to vaping and I'm enjoying my 510 kit from cignot. I had initially ordered 2 blu starter kits and they arrived today 7 days later. We decided to keep them because $60 to us is minor compared to $10 a pack. I am still sticking to my 510 because I prefer the larger vapor production and larger carts. My wife and buddy are using the Blu.

First off, the packaging is nice. I know this may not mean anything but to a new user it is well designed. The shipping time wasn't bad at all this time, but the tracking system does NOT work at all. I believe its known to not work and they just bs you until you receive them.

The quality of the device itself seems good. Its VERY small even compared to the 510. The vapor production is about half of a 510, a little better than half if you hit it just right. It is more than sufficient for my wife, she doesn't have the "Tim the Toolman" mentality like I do. The battery life does kind of suck, but given the size of the device it was expected.

The juice is VERY strong flavored and came from Johnson Creek. I'm vaping 24mg VG menthol with my 510 and the Blu is at least twice as flavorful. I prefer somewhere in the middle, and have juice on the way to test out. The carts don't last a real long time but in comparison to $10 a pack they are still economical enough.

I guess the rating would be based on your expectations. I think its not bad for the money, and performs just fine considering its size. It definitely doesn't put out huge vapor but it is probably adequate for a social or light smoker. Very well packaged and easy enough that my wife could figure it out on her own. I don't feel like its a broken product, bad quality, or lacking performance.

If you want a tiny PV that works decent the Blu isn't a bad device. I'm already on to an eGo and probably my first Mod shortly after.

As far as I know they are a generic relabeled. Its the same simplicity as an 808 from Vapor4life so I wouldn't say its unique. Just saying it wasn't bad for the size/price. Definitely research all the different options and what you want out of a PV. I wanted at least as much vapor as I got smoke from an analog, so I went 510.

My cousin got a Blu. It didn't take for him. He lent it to my Aunt. Didn't take for her. Let my uncle try it... didn't work for him. It seems the more "simple, cigarette like" devices are just too unreliable to really be successful by themselves. They're enough to get people started, but unless people find places like this forum and get the right information to get on the right track, they usually end up writing off the e-cig.

I'm currently compiling a bunch of good links from this forum for the above mentioned family members to help them "rediscover" PV's properly;)

Oddly, my fiance isn't interested in trying my 510 or eGo... she's perfectly content with the NPro we started with (I gave it 24 hours before I ordered my Joye stuff). Though she hasn't committed to vaping like I have... we'll see what happens when she fully kicks the analogs and has to really rely on the battery life on the NPro;)

Update. Burned through 2 Blu carts in less time than 1 510 cart. Battery is actually holding up decent this time, but the vapor production isn't enough for me. She thinks its "ok" but is leaning towards the 510 now. Still think its a decent device for a really small PV though. I wouldn't personally recommend it, the carts and the filler inside the little plastic cup seem REALLY cheap.

Is the blu a patented device only made by blu?
I mean there's not another PV out there with a different name exactly the same?
I was just curious, I too considered the blu just because it seemed simple. The major bad thing I hear about them is the slow boat shipping.

Volcanoecigs.com has a Volcano that's also an L88B. Volcano's atty has a taller bridge but the batteries and PCC are about the same. I personally don't really care for the stock carts, I mod them with blue foam and fill with my own juice. Volcano also sells their juice by the bottle too, so if you find a flavor that you really like you can refill your carts with the same juice.

.. and that about sums it up, with the bold text as an aftermath. It is very unfortunate.

My first unit was a Safe Cig, it slow me down but didn't do it for me. I sold it to the neighbour and he is happy as a clam.

The 510 is what got me of analogs the day I got it, and it is the device I recommend to any new vaper.
