BluCigs - Not Impressed...Questions..

Well, I am still learning the ropes of all this e-Cig equipment and devices. I got my third device just yesterday (BluCigs) after using my second for about a week now (Janty eGo). I am glad that I got my eGo before my Blu or I may have lost all hope on vaping.

I love my eGo...great device. But, I wanted the BluCig device for something that I could use for when I go out; something that wasn't as big and bulky as the big eGo battery; preferably something about the same size as the BluCig device (size of a regular cigarette). I also liked the fact that Blu had a charge pack and could be charged in my pocket.

However, I am not impressed the the vapor production of the Blu, the sensitivity issue is a major problem, and the carts don't last. Refilling the blu carts isn't really as easy as filling the 901/eGo cards. You have to pull the small plastic housing out of the cart before soaking the filler. I am just not all that impressed with the Blu. I am thinking about returning it for a refund.

I may just stick with my eGo, but I would like to have something smaller and more compact for vaping when I am out...something that doesn't have a big bulky battery like the eGo does and won't attract a whole lot of attention. Anyone have any suggestions? What is the smallest 510 device (Battery plus Atty & Cart) that is actually high quality and generates a lot of vapor?

Also, someone recommended a low resistance atty for my eGo to get better vapor production. Anyone have any suggestions on where to get one of these as well??

Still waiting on some new low nic juices. Waiting for this stuff to arrive is the worst part of all this, especially when the device ends up disappointing (BluCigs).

Just thought I would pick some of your brains a little bit more before trying another device and ordering anything else.

Thanks again for all your help. This forum has been great. I will try to pay it forward once I find everything that is for me (devices, liquids, etc)...

If you already have the 901 equipment, I use a Janty stick V3 with a 801-901 adapter for my car vape. Super small, good vape and flavor and long enough battery life. The 801 atty that comes with it is OK but doesn't run hot enough for me. You can also use a 801-510 extension adapter to run 510 carts. I switch up and use both for changes. Adapters are cheaper than buying a whole set-up to find out you don't like it.
I had a Blu Kit....for 2 weeks and sold it. Drove me crazy.
Small 510 Modded vaper would be a Altsmoke BB.
Good luck and don't feel bad. I have made a ton of mistakes in Purchases, equipment, juice, etc. But, its all part of our learning curve.

How about a V4L Mini PCC or Shorty Mini PCC Kit? They come with a nice little charging case in your choice of color (you choose battery color too). The cartomizers are so handy when traveling or going out. You can toss a few cartos in your pocket or purse and change flavors when it suits you. Also if you already have 901 batts the V4L PCC will accommodate those too.

Yea, I don't feel bad. I wouldn't have tried it so nonchalantly without the money-back guarantee. I was going to try volcano, but Blu had the guarantee. If BluCigs are quick about the refund, I would be willing try them again if they develop a new model in the future. I would like to try another small 510 device (if it exists). Is the device that Elfyn suggested a 510?

I ended up cancelling my Blu order before they even shipped it. Ordered on a Tuesday and it still hadnt shipped by the following Monday. Asked why they had it on their site that new orderes shipped in 48 hours and the response was "Well, I guess not this time." I responded with "please cancel my order I will not even give you a chance to show me how bad your product is". Guess I should do better research before I i placed my order, I would have seen their issues with customer service.

I have made some bad decisions with purchases too. I think we've all have. I started with a smoke anywhere and actually went back to analogs for a few months before trying again. After plowing through to forums I ended up with a 510 Tornado from TW and am super happy with it. I also got juice with the 510 and found it to be far superior than what came with the included 510 carts.

Once you get passed the initial buying spree, you really do save money over analogs. Especially if you take care of your atty and refill your own carts.

Like I have said before - Blu is a love it or hate it device. I happen to love mine.

From what I have read, the tornado is a good choice for performance at a smaller size. Volcano's Magma is a 510 type PV and I have read good reviews on it.

If you have any classic tobacco blu carts left - I'll take them off your hands ;)

Well, since you have 510 equipment already (carts, atties, etc.), I'd suggest a good old Joye 510. They have PCC's as well, and while the batteries won't last as long as your eGo, you'll gain the portability and size you're looking for. Cignot's no-box kits are cheap, and definitely fit what you're hunting.

Don't be afraid to return that Blu, either. They are, in fact, pretty quick on the refunds, so I'd say eat the cost to ship it back and take them up on that guarantee. I'm glad I did...

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into and consider both options.

Elfyn, That's a pricey kit. Hows the vapor production on those? I am assuming those take 510 carts?
No the Vapor King from V4L is a Kr8 NOT a 510 they are two different animals. The 510 is a 3 piece unit (battery, atomizer, cartridge [cart]) the VK is a 2 piece unit (battery, cartomizer [carto]). In other words with the VK (kr8) the atomizer and cartridge are one piece instead of an atomizer and cartridge like on the 510. They are very much handier for traveling an when one goes out.

As for the "priciness", which kits were you looking at? The Mini PCC and Shorty Mini PCC are $45.00 and $39.95 respectively. Scroll further down the page in the link in my original post to find these kits.

Vapor production is wonderful on the VK (Kr8). Just keep in mind that the Kr8 and the 510 are different. I have both. I like the 510 for many reasons, but for going out and having something to tuck in your pocket or purse with a minimum of hassle I like my VK.

For more info on the VK (kr8) visit the V4L Sub-Forum.

They now have 510 cartos so you can see if you like the two piece before investing in a vaporking.

I have a Volcano and a Magma (Volcano's 510 model) and I like both for different reasons. The throat hit is much harder on the Magma. I think the Volcano is good for ultra-light and occasional smokers while the Magma works best for Full-flavor and pack and a half smokers.

As for the size issue, I think you should check out the Magma. It's a little bigger then the Blu/Volcano, but it is not unwieldy. If you like it, they do sell the PCC for when you are out and about.
