I ordered the base kit V2 since I already have a bunch of Tenergy CR123 batts (the blue ones). I've since seen someone state that they cannot fit these batteries into the V2. Has anyone else tried them and had the same problem? My Prodigy will be here on Monday, so I want to know if I should be frantically overnighting batteries to me now if my Tenergys wont fit.

Enough said you are our expert and you opinion matters most. The batteries I have coming with it are good enough for me then with 3 full sets and the amount I vape I should make it through one day anyway. Just may have to order a few more LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Dkrom ... The highest RCR's I have seen are 900/1000mAh and I don't believe those are even true ratings. What we found was the LifePo4's although only 750mAh ... held a charge MUCH longer than the 900mAh Tenergy batteries, not to mention, a safer built chemistry.

How about the 14500 Tenergy batteries for the Protege? I just got my Protege working after getting a new mechanical switch in (Thank you Steve!) but after vaping with my first battery I decided to change it out before going out and about in town, and the noticed the battery was leaking.

I know you're waiting on more 14500's but do the other brands other than Tenergy work just as well? (like the Ultra Fire for example) And do they charge on the same charger?

Haha ... I have (3) sets personally. I rotate ... I can normally charge both sets before 1 set dies (after about 4-6 hours depending on usage) If you can keep (3) healthy sets in rotation, you should have zero issue. Even (2) sets would do it! I just prefer to keep that 3rd set for late at night before bed if I need some extra umph ;)

Hey Navy ... Don't see as many issues with different 14500's. I have tried Ultrafire/Trustfire protected and unprotected batts, and really don't notice much of a difference. So don't hesitate to get other batts for the Protege instead of the Tenergy :) Glad she is back up and working for ya Navy :)

I will back that up Steve. Been using the Prodigy V1 for quite a while now. I have both the Tennergy LiFePO4's and the Tenergy RCR123A Lithium 900ma batteries. The 750ma LiFePO4's hit as hard or harder than the 900ma Lithiums. The LiFePO4's have a flatter voltage curve than the Lithiums. The Lithiums fall off and put out too little current quicker than the 750ma LiFePO4's. When I buy new batteries I will buy the LiFePO4's.
