JPF dearly wanted to be back with his wife after talking to her, he knew the ship was damaged and had been in the meeting with them all, the news of whom was gone was finally coming to a total from the ship. He had calmed down and realized that Mac did not do this.
He went towards Angel she was crying, she turned to him and hugged him. He hugged back as she backed away tears in her eyes. "I am so sorry." Her tears poured down, she finally hit the point and it was coming out. "Let it go." Said JPF. She looked at him and wiped her tears from her nose and mouth.
"I splintered this family." JPF grabbed her arms and said. "No, we must focus let me go back to the island to my wife please. She will need help." Angel said back to him. "How with Mac gone with Blue who will steer this ship?" In the meeting Mac said the damage was so bad to the ship that they would have to port in Florida to fix the damage otherwise it would be slow.
"Let me take the jet to the island." Angel looked at him as Ranger spoke from behind her. "I can steer this boat, and am sure I can learn all of it especially with the cards that were left by Mac." Angel heard her and turned and walked to the mic of the ship. "Get the Jet gassed for the island, filled with food, water, medical supplies; JPF and I will go back to the island."
JPF nodded and went with her through the door, they both lived close in the ship his door next to hers, they both filled luggage for the trip. And out to the Jet and it was being filled with what she requested, the jet only held 12 so minus the two they had room for three Doctors and seven nurses.
The jet door closed and the pilot said on his com to Ranger. "Is she at full speed?" Ranger responded. "As full as she will go." "Hold on to your hats ladies and gentlemen, this may be interesting." The blocks kept the jet from moving as the engine got louder and louder. The pilot saluted the man on the deck he saluted back and pushed his hand forward as in go, the blocks had been removed and the jet was punched full forward with the aid of the cable.
The jet sped forward and there was just not enough forward progress by the carrier to aid them and the jet plummeted below the ship. Ranger was just about to hit the warning for man overboard when she saw the jet just start to climb up. Angel held JPF's arm. "That was close." JPF nodded yes as he was at the window watching the water of the ocean come near.
The jet made good time as as they came towards the island they looked, there was much smoke going into the air, from above they could see the Darling sunk below the waves, even the palm trees were marred from the fires. Fortunately the airstrip was not hit and the pilot circled the mountain and came back towards the city.
They all were looking out the windows as the jet came to land and finally pulled to a stop the AC in the jet started to smell like smoke. The pilot brought the engines down to stop and opened the door, the others got out and immediately the heat and humidity hit them. With the smoke it made it hard, and JPF went forward to were he told his wife to wait without waiting for them, he was in a full run towards the city center. Angel stopped a Dr. from telling him to wait. "It is over here, let him go."
She looked at GMO's hut next to hers, it was gone a few pillars for the foundation left, her hut was burned down. She walked forward and saw on the sand much blood spots. "We have a lot of funerals to attend to." One nurse came to her. "Are you okay?" Angel looked at her, "I..... I am not sure."
"Have you not had a funeral before?" Angel looked at her with question. "Do I know you?" "Actually you do." said the nurse back. "You have had so many here and on the boat you couldn't possibly remember us all. What did you do for Fuzzy?"
And as everyone's memories started to be loosed she remembered Fuzzy and how he saved her brought her home, and after death one week of celebration for the next stage of life. It was about then that JPF made it to the medical center, he pulled the door open and went in; many turned to look at him. "John!" "Bee!" the two ran to each other an embraced.
Angel walked with the others and looked over to her right, there was a noise that caught her attention and she walked up the dune and looked over, a mass grave had been made for all, there was not enough time for all of them, the heat would make it dangerous to the living. Shawn was running the backhoe. He saw Angel and stopped whipping sweat from his forehead. They came close together as Angel looked at them, bullet holes, shrapnel, fire burns.
Shawn stopped and looked with as she went down and knelt she recognized GMO's watch, she started to cry again. Shawn came close to her and placed his hand on her shoulder and she placed her hand on her mouth. The nurse came close to them both. "Make your peace." Angel stood and slid down the sand into the pit and touched GMO. She closed her eyes and bowed her head and said something in her head. She stood and nodded and with their help got out.
"One day friend." Angel said as Shawn took a drink of water from the nurse as the others finally were watching. Shawn got back on the backhoe and finished the job all of them had been busy with for 24 hours gathering all those dead, taking the others to tend as best they could. There were more supplies in the hospital ward than Bee knew at the time. So they were comfortable under the circumstances. Shawn pushed the sand back over the bodies eight feet down.
The ship Angel made her course to Florida for repairs, Ranger let the coast guard know they were under duress. As those on the island were exhausted and ready for sleep and a break. The nurses and doctors followed her they knew the location and went in with as much as they could carry and into the doors.
A girl with blood on her lips looked up at Angel and smiled. "Are you okay?" She asked and knelt by her. "Yes." The others passed her and laid down their supplies on tables and immediately went to work. "We have a priority over here."
Edit (I know I have made many errors in the last few episodes, a big one the nurse was not alive. As in the one who died with Bee and then Amlowe did save Bee, that will be fixed) sorry about the confusion.
