Just tried out BB and GJ. Both are outstanding, but I get an alcohol taste with both. Anyone else get this? Does a bit of steep time diminish the alcohol taste or is this the way its supposed to taste?

BB is my all-day vape and I have never noticed it. My wife says she smells alcohol on my breath though. And I don't drink alcohol so I know its from my vape.
Hm haven't noticed that but have heard a lot of mixers use a bit of alcohol in there. Not sure of Ben's policy.
Am prolly the wrong person for an opinion because when using a tank, I've been adding a bit of vodka to my favorite AVE tobacco juices so they wick better, and I don't notice it..

There isn't any alcohol in the Boba's or GJ liquid. I have had one customer say that when he vaped Boba's in the car with his wife she said it smelled like beer. That's about as close to an alcohol comment I've noticed on the juice until now.
I guess it's just my sense of taste. I just started vaping last week (no more analogues!) so I'm sure my tastebuds are going to be going a little crazy for a while before things even out.
I personally haven't ever tasted alcohol in either juice, but you're right that tastes differ from person to person. You got the right juices to begin vaping with.
I dont get so much of a taste or smell of alcohol, but sometimes the throat hit and sensation when I inhale is a bit different from all my other juices and it does in fact remind me strongly of alcohol. I still vape it, I love me some AVE, but I definitely noticed it on several batches of Boba's. I was curious about this, but I guess Ben squashed it already!
Didn't get an alcohol taste, but steeping for 4 days really changed the flavor and TH for me. (to steep or not to steep, I know, a million different opinions out there on that.)
I noticed this too! On day one, this stuff was heavy on the tobacco, almost like a cigar with a bit of chocolate and nuttiness, and just a bit of sweetness.
About a week in, and only 10 or so mls left, I'm getting tons of caramel flavour and brown sugar, a lot closer to an RY4 from BWB. Either way, this stuff rocks.
To further the alcohol discussion, I get nothing of the sort from cartos, but noticed when I drip that the aftertaste is very similar to Guinness. That being said, if somebody (*couch, AVE*) were to make a "Guinness" flavour I would be begging door-to-door for enough cash to buy a 10 gallon jug.

I think its a good vape and doesn't smell like alcohol , and had a guy throw a cig .... on the ground outside a store today about twenty feet away and could smell that cig as if I smoked it myself.

Its not alcohol, its the Sarlacc milk in Boba's Bounty. Sarlacc milk miked with the Juice of a hubba gourd make a tasty dish, legendary among the Jawa.

I just got my first AVE order and I seem to be getting the alcohol aroma/taste/smell from all of the juice I ordered: Hype, Pineapple Pulp, Sweet Tart, Root Beer, GJ, and BB.. 
I've been dripping the flavors on my 510 atty to taste them and I haven't liked any of them yet. which is disappointing since everyone raves about these juices. Hopefully the juice just needs to steep for a couple of days? I won't be able to vape any of this juice if the alcoholi-ness lingers.
I'm also waiting on cartos to arrive but if the flavors don't change, I don't want to put the juice into my cartos.

when i first got bobbas bounty i loved it, and gj was only ok to me, after a week it seemed to lose its taste, i set it aside, i bought a new bottle, tried it again seemed ot come back, but then left me again, now, it just doesnt taste the same, usually when your taste buds change and heal after smoking, flavors get better or worse, but ive never heard a loss of flavor, so i dunno... GJ is alot better to me now although i didnt get enough banana so i bought some banana slurry and added some to it. i never tasted alcohol except on hype, which taste like peach shnapps to me.
Sometimes I just put a new order of juice in my stash box and try to forget about it for a couple weeks! Then I try it and WOW-the transformation is remarkable! A couple of days doesn't usually do it for me though, you have to be patient. If I had to choose only one juice vendor it would be Alien Visions!
