Pressure relief wise, I'd think the smallest hole would work. You might want to keep your drip tip in the carto for positioning of the hole and because of the lack of structural integrity at the top.

You could always get a side fill tank and loosen the screw occasionally to relieve pressure.

that works as well. The sub tanks are perfect for this!

I haven't had an issue. My punching technique isn't the prettiest but j-tanks have a very good seal.

I use duct tape to stick it to my bench, and use the closest nail and a hammer

With a phiniac tank on the way, I better not need any other kind of side fill tank (hubby would blow an o-ring if I start requesting new gear already). Perhaps this very intriguing method will require my DCT to experiment with. There is certainly a loose enough fit (/sarcasm) to give it a try.
