I've had the same issue with the Boges. Got mine from Liberty Flights and from Vapor Kings; I've only tried the 2.0s.

The first couple orders I made a few months ago when I started vaping were fantastic.. they really were the perfect carto. Now though, every box I've ordered has had major issues. Completely defective, doesn't wick, tight draw, almost no vapor. To even get them to work you have to keep them obsessively topped off. I'm really really disappointed in Boge.

I've also tried the dual coil Smokteks and currently on a batch of resurrectors from CCV. Nothing I've tried so far has had the wow-factor of the Boge's. Resurrectors work well, but the flavor and vapor production isn't quite there for me. On the other hand, every 1.7ohm resurrector I've gotten has actually tested at 1.7 (even though the box says +/-0.2).

Dual coils work well, but not with all flavors. The wicking on them also bothers me.

I think the lack of good cartos is probably gunna be my kick into VV because it's making me hate my ego at the moment. Honestly, if Boge could give us back the same LRs that used to be around, I'd gladly pay more for them.

I got a fifteen pack of SS Boge SRs from CCV, and two out of the three that I tapped for my tank have started flooding after only a couple of days. Otherwise they are performing well, so I'm thinking maybe I'm over tapping them. I'm using a saw wheel on a Dremil to "slot" them, so I'm thinking about trying only one slot the next one.

Advice is welcome if you've already tried this.

Yeah it seems that Boge has had some QC issues lately. Not sure why or whats going on.

I agree with frosting. The dual coils are so much more expensive. I like the Ressurectors much more AND their cheaper

I want to go with Crystal Clear for a bulk order of cartos. Are the Boge's from there the ones having quality issues? Just wondering if you or someone else may know. If the Res's stack up to Boge I may just go with Ressurectors instead. After I stock up on cartos I gotta save for Christmas and my Lavatube. Although the major juice order I just made, some of it also for my mom and brother is tottaly going to count as an early x-mas gift lol

I had problems here and there from all of these vendors, CrystalClearVaping, GoodProphets, and VaporAlley. I emphasize that it's not the vendor's fault. They sell what they get from Bogetech. I don't think it makes any difference who you order from. There may be a few bad cartos, or not.

Note**Since I originally posted this, I have not had a single issue with my Boge cartos. I haven't ordered the Smoktech cartos yet, but, if These keep doing so well, I may not.

I dont know what guys are talking about but the 200 i just received from bogetech are working great .Havent had one issue .Been through about 15 of them and they are great .All in all the 40+ boges iv used none had big issues .QC is probably the best out of all ecig equipment made imo Cant say that about any other cartos iv tried . One of the boges took a little bit longer than usual to saturate but i was using boba bounty which is 100%vg .It wicked fine once it saturated though . Maybe you guys arnt filling them correctly or something . Ill post a vid when i get a chance .

You can tell the moment you fill one if it is an old good one or a new bad one. The way they absorb juice is totally different.

Well mine were brand new straight from bogetech so im sure they are not old ones . Maybe they made a small run of bad ones ,i dont think they changed materials or anything .

Well, I have gone through tons of Boge cartos, used to use the 2.0's in my Ego, now the 3.0's in my VV mods. I NEVER had a problem with the 2.0's, but haven't used them for quite a while. I have been using the Boge 3.0's since I went VV. I had a couple several months ago that were filled too tightly, just wouldn't wick. And more recently, I had several in a row that had the same problem. I was very discouraged at the time, and that's when I started this thread.

Lately, they have been wicking and working magnificently. Perhaps I spoke too soon. Overall, I love my Boge cartos, and I have decided to continue with them. Now that I have my jig and carto punch from Vapor-Age, I get exactly the same punched holes EVERY time. I "condom fill" from the bottom using 8-10 drops and pop them in my cartotank. I think I was just unlucky enough to get several in a row that were packed too tightly, and I blew it all out of proportion. When I get my cartos, I take them out of the boxes and throw them all in a box, grab one when I need it.

To show my confidence in Boge cartos, I have also just ordered 200 of them from Bogetech. I am going to keep them separate, and note any difficulties. I think consistency is the key with practicing proper filling techniques and not rushing it. If using them in tanks, consistent holes are very important, as well as priming the carto properly before vaping it in a tank.

For me a carto is a carto! I find that the brand matters a little, but the key thing is to have a vendor that appreciates quality control in their products. The Chinese make all of it and they are not consistent. I find if a vendor is willing to guarantee their them, that's what matters. I use C.C.V. carto's for that exact reason. He has boge and smok tech for a good price.

Can I get a link to the hole-punch jig you use for the boge cartos?

You absolutely can. The minute I opened and tried to fill my first batch of "bad" ones you could tell they weren't the same. The filler material looks completely different - not as soft and cottony but more coarse, shiny and polyester-like.

I ordered my good & bad ones about 3 months apart. I thought the ones from LF were a fluke so I got more from somewhere else, lo and behold same stuff. So maybe in another few months I'll try 'em again, glad to hear others aren't having total failures.

Thats the key to condom filling boges NOT RUSHING . I condom fill from the bottom also with the white cap off on the other end so i can see where the juice is at . I fill the condom with 35drops and slowly push it down .You will see at reach the top of the airtube about when you get half way down the condom .Then i go slow and keep the juice at the top of the airtube and it creeps down . By the time i got all 35 drops in the top area around the airtube is completely dry and no juice had flowed over the airtube .When i pull the condom off i put the last drop thats in there back onto the top and drip 4 more drops on the top .Then give it a thermometer shake and slight suck (Not blow ) into the top of the carto and your done with no a single drop of wasted juice or and mess to clean up or wipe off the carto .Airhole is also free of juice . When you suck not blow it doesnt leave the carto out the battery end where you need to wipe it up ,it just goes into the filler over the airtube .I dont even need a paper towel anymore

When i make holes for tanks i use two 1/16" drill holes .
