I love BWB but not in cartos - at least not on a slim ecig where you have to use standard resistance.

His juices are 70PG/30VG except for the maltys which are mostly VG. So I would not even try the maltys in a carto. I used to use his Vanilla in my Boges but had poor carto life (drag would degrade, stuffing would get clogged). I find 30% to be too much VG (I now only use 20% VG or less) and in addition BWB uses some flavorings that are hand-extracted and a wide variety of other flavorings, so there always seemed to be something leaving flavoring sediment in the carto. Just about every company has some flavors that drop sediment - that is not just a BWB thing. I now avoid any flavor that seems to drop a lot of carto clogging (and atty clogging) sediment. I tried a lot of juices to find ones in 20% VG or less that were light and pretty clear/transparent and drop little or no sediment and those are what I use. I can get a week to 10 days use out of a Boge (and double that because I only vape the 510 1/2 the time).

Also - both a too dry carto and a saturated carto may vape badly. When too saturated it behaves like a floody atty - hardly any warmth and weak vapor and flavor. Hopefully you only poked the syringe down between the inner wall and the stuffing and not into the stuff - there are wicks and wires in there you could damage. Also - Did you let the carto settle? Because unless you personally delivered juice to every square millimeter of the carto, it won't be ready right after filling. I lay a new freshly filled carto on different sides for 15-20 minutes to get every bit of stuffing damp. That was also enough for 30% juices when I used to use them.

I may be over doing it, going to try again.

I open the carto, tilt it, hold a tissue on the threaded end hole and make it take 18 drops per ml (a Boge is around 1ml). I drip down onto the inner wall and let it slide into the stuffing as I rotate the carto. The first drops soak in slow and once the stuffing is damp it goes faster. After I get 18 (or more is if it seems eager for more) in I wait about 30 seconds and then see how many more drops it will soak up easily - one at a time. Then I clean it up on the threaded end, then tilt open end down into a tissue and puff into the threaded end to clear the air channel, Then I touch a soft bit of tissue to the top of the stuffing while it is pointed down (to sop up any loose juice), Then I look - I want to see light through that air channel. Then I let it settle 15-20min, laying it on different sides.

I'm not a clear carto fan because they look gunky and nasty so quickly. But it's a great way to learn how a carto fills and saturates. It takes longer and you have more dry spots than you'd think. I follow Dormouse's method except I leave a condom on the threaded end and shake the carto like a thermometer after each series of drips. I let a newly-filled carto sit overnight with condoms on each end before vaping. Like dripping, you'll learn your sizzle sound of your perfect, happy vape over time. Just be careful about overfilling and dab the top as the Mouse suggested if you're using it right away or it looks slushy. You should see light through the middle top to bottom. Holding a PV up to listen to the sizzle and popping hot juice in your ear is no fun. Yow. Ditto for your lips.

Wow, I find this surprising. I just got my order a week ago from BWB and I let the malty sit for a week and couldn't wait any longer to try it and just filled up a boge 2.0 LR on my Ego, using the syringe method. I didn't wait any time after filling the carto and I absolutely LOVE this malty in my carto. That was 3 days ago and it's still working like a charm. I think I will try some of your suggestions the next time I top it off dormouse. Do you use a syringe to fill the carto the first time you use it, or just drip it in the carto directly right from the beginning?
This malty is absolutely my new favorite e liquid. Don puts some real love into those bottles and I can't wait to try the other flavors I got from him. This is my first order from BWB and I am thrilled with them.
