if you look at the boge cartos you can see the contact point sticks out past the threads or is even with the threads.
On brother attys they are even, boge lr they are slightly recessed. when they are recesss is when they dont go done far enough to make good contact. The attys that are flush or extend past the thread make good contact.

your welcome and thanks. Just glad its over :). I like to ship as orders come in less confusing
I just picked another at random and it fires fine, without doing anything. I may like though MXBNW mentioned adding a tube.. I haven't decided. I will look at my cartos before I use them. :D BTW Paul ty for the fast shipping and constant updates. :D I am sure everyone appreciates them.

I'm having to dump my juice and I'm going to try boiling the needle and bottle cause I think I'm vaping a caustic chemical.

PLEASE BOIL YOUR BOTTLES OUT BEFORE YOU USE IT. HOT WATER WON'T WORK ALONE. Hope you don't mind that I feel like screaming that :)

Are you saying the bottles themselves, right out of the box, have been tainting your juice or something?

Have one out for delivery today, so I am definitely curious about this.

Good question. I did not have to boil mine and have no chemical taste. Perhaps its the primer in the atty?. I thought the boiling was to change flavors.

The first carto I put on was one I had been using. It tasted fine before I pumped juice up into it. After I pumped the juice up into it then it tasted like a burnt rubber chemical taste. I then took the juice bottle out and dripped it on to an atty that I had been using. Again, it tasted like burnt rubber chemical. Both the atty and carto were in use and tasting good before so it had to be something in the bottle assembly. Perhaps there could have been some sort of primer or machine oil on the Rev connector, whatever .. it did get in my bottle assembly or was there to begin with. The only way I got out of the taste was to boil the bottle and needle assembly, and I also swabbed the connector with an alcohol swab to get that taste out. Not a big deal as long as you clean your stuff before use, but if you want to risk it and do get that taste.. I told ya so. LOL

I'm not having any luck with the feed system on this thing so I'm hoping someone can come up with a user friendly mod for the feed.

I will boil my needle and bottle today before using just to make sure its clean.

I will also be playing with some different tubs to put in the bottle to see If I can get the feed system to work better. I see the needle is very small and may not like my VG juice but will do my inertial test with some BWB with no tube in the bottle.

I will also tonight put my volt meeter on it with a full charge and with the PT to see where it comes out. I will post this info latter today after I complete some work.

I had a nasty taste too--using newly filled carto that was sent with it. Really glad you posted TJ -- because about 3 minutes after I fired her up I read your post. I was ready dump the 1/2 bottle---but found that it pretty much "vaped out" -- like we did in the olden days with new atty's before learning about blowing out etc. Still going to dump what's left and clean it really well!

Paul -- I think you mentioned lowered performance after a bit -- well I had that this morning and found I'd flooded---meaning there was juice on the connection--thus lowering the power. Could be it?

Haven't messed with a bunch of atty's--but I do know mine won't work with my JoyE 510's---and it's not just the center pole. Contemplating trying to lift the whole assembly--scarey. Unknown # very early purchased branded atty with more screw threads & taller "brass section" works like a champ. It also works an Iken 510 caro I have used--I think it's the drip style one.

Glad I've taken to Boge & Iken cartos.

Someone somewhere had trouble with dual coils--well, my well current and well used CCV just needed the center pole lifted a tad. I've read that using an atty/carto can sometimes lower it--when you tighten it down, I guess. I've seen a great video on how to lift--that I wasn't up to mastering -- so today I just grabbed my syringe (a paperclip might work) and using center hole just kind of wiggled it up a bit---circulating around to try and get it somewhat even.

Uh oh -- the new Wave -- 510's that only work with THAT manufacturer? I sure hope not.

At $50 I figure this is decent platform to mod and tweak to my liking, I can't imagine it would be to tough to change the atty connector on these to a different, more universal juice feeder type that is known to work great.

Of course I haven't gotten a hold of mine yet, so I could be wrong.

Hell I am already thinking about ways to make it into a higher voltage, or variable voltage, and I haven't even seen the damn thing yet heh

Any thoughts on changing the atty connector?

Ok -- I got brave and did the pencil thingy to raise the assembly a tad. And I mean, a tad. Must have worked. I got power! (I also made sure all reg 510 atty's had the center pin raised).

I'm now doing a cleaning number on it all, just to be, uh, CLEAN!

No more experimenting now -- must go find some other mischief.

BTW -- this PV is so much nicer overall quality feel than the Rev1. Very nice upgrade they did. I hope I haven't sounded like I was trashing it. Too soon to tell--but it may be the great "alway in my purse" pv I wanted it to be.

I, too, have enjoyed your service, Paul.
