I have had a heck of a bad time with carto tanks. I'm not particularly keen on the style of tank that relies only on the pressure of the o-rings to hold it on. I'm on the go a lot, and need to be able to have my PV kicking around in the console of my car, in and out of pockets, etc. Thus, when smoketech came out with their locking DCT, I was thrilled. An affordable tank that locks on to the carto, meaning in order to pull this thing off, you'd have to pull with enough force to break something. This is my kinda tank!

Unfortnately, to take advantage of it, I needed to use the smoketech flanged cartos. I've tried their single coil versions, their dual coil versions, and their CE2 style versions.

All of the smoketech carto's I've tried were worthless.

On a whim, I decided to try the new boge F16 cartos in my UDCT.

SOOOOO glad I did!

Finally, the all day vaping tank I've been waiting for!

The problem I had with the smoketech versions was that they would constantly and consistently flood. I couldn't keep them from flooding. Even taping one of the holes over completely, they still flooded.

Not the boge!

I've been vaping my first F16 carto for 4+ hours now, and I've not had a single gurgle, nor a single dry hit!

I have some flanged Ikenvape cartos on the way too, so I can really compare, but a 6 ml tank gives me flexibility and convenience I had almost given up on!

However, there is one down side. The throat of this carto is so tight, almost none of my drip tips will fit it. I have one of the black plastic tips that came with a vivi nova that will wedge in, but none of the others will even pretend to fit.

Glad I read this. I've been meaning to fine some boges to try in my UDCT. So the F16s fit? Single hole or double? I don't have a flooding issue but I have single hole - and dual coil. It depends on the thickness of the juice too. I think I need two holes because after a while mine starts to run dry. Then again, I think it's just the top coil. I have single coil, double hole on the way. Next I'll try the boge so thanks. I love the UDCT though. A lot.

yeah, the design of the UDCT is great. I've heard from lots of people who like the smoketech cartos, but I've tried 2 of every iteration they make, and have had exactly zero winners. I tried each with a watery thin all PG, and a less thin 70/30 mix. Some of the cartos didn't flood right away, first they'd dry hit, burn my throat, then they'd flood.

Plop the boge version in, and the first couple of vapes I'm like: "hmmm... So far so good... When's the flooding start?". So far, however, so good, and I've severely damaged the amount of juice in my first fill up.

I’ve also been very impressed with the Boge F16. I wanted to try a carto tank but didn’t want to spend a lot, so I got the F16 tank with an F16 carto for about $6.50. I’ve vaped a little over 30ml through it so far and the carto is still going strong.

It is rather noisy – lots of snaps and crackles in use. Other than that, I’ve been really pleased with the setup. No flooding, no gurgling, and the dual holes have worked fine with 70/30 and 50/50 juices. Went ahead and ordered a few boxes of the cartos to keep on hand.

I have some concerns about the durability of the tank, and have also purchased a tank from Valley View (which has also been quite a nice performer). Using that with an F16 carto as well. But so far, the cheap F16 tank has not leaked.

I've been trying to use the same thing and all I get is the gurgle :( I really wanted to use them as I always liked cartos....just too much topping them off....with the tank it was a dream. Just not mine yet.....I'll keep trying it every so often though, but my kanger t3's are so wonderful :).

Your topping them off is probably what is causing the gurgling. Also, not refilling a carto tank properly will cause gurgling.
Get more info and you'll probably be very happy with them:)

been vaping this same carto in the tank for a week now. I'm very VERY happy with it overall.

Kinda wish the draw wasn't so bloody tight, but I drilled out the air holes with a 1/16" bit, and if I index them to the air inlets on my PV, it does get a lot better.

Aside from that, the F16 carto has been a dream!

I'm on my first f16 now. Have it in a Momnpop carto tank and it vapes like any other Boge for me.

On a 3.7 regulated ego setting, I don't think it's hitting as hard as the few SM1.7's I had, but the 1.7 was very troublesome for me and this is much nicer.

I only ever barely finger tighten mine, so it has good airflow.

I've had a couple SmokTech cartos that would hopelessly flood, but then I've had a bunch more that were solid.

I've been lucky in the fact that they all fired right out of the package. No DoAs so far. I'll probably try these Boges for the heck of it though.

Currently vaping a SmokTech 2 ohm single coil with 2 holes in a tank... 70/30 PG/VG yummy Pirate's Booty from HHV

if your carto tank is gurgling, its not the cartos fault. i had problems in the past, and found out if the tank isnt 100% sealed from the atmosphere, its going to flood the carto. basically if your gurgling or flooding, your tank has an "air leak" allowing the juice to seep into the carto faster than normal wicking from vaping, instead of the slight vacuum inside the tank holding the juice in until the carto gives it a bubble. i had a side fill tank from vvv a long time ago, and when the side fill plug got to where it wasnt sealing right, my cartos started flooding.

one other thing, if you arent careful refilling, you can pressurize the tank, forcing juice into the carto, flooding it causing it to gurgle. my "good" vvv tank has grommets with o-rings in the slots. i use a blunt needle syringe to fill. pull the top grommet off far enough to slide the needle in, push the grommet back down, and make sure theres a spot around the needle that isnt sealed to allow air to escape as juice fills the tank. i can fill it completely full, or leave an air bubble, it doesnt affect it either way. fill it up, pull the needle out, no gurgles, no flooding (unless its 10 degrees outside and walk into a 75 degree house, but thats a whole other ballgame altogether)
