The types of juice (dark or light) will affect the absorbtion but will eventually wick entirely. Also, if doing the condom method, initially the juice won't saturate the filler like that of using the syringe method. The idea of course is to saturate it entirely without excess and have found (the hard way) the best method is using a syringe. In fact, even after using it for a few days and filling by dropping in the top, I'll go back and use a syringe again, albeit not much is required.

It doesn't seem to matter what juice. I filled one up the morning with Boba's Bounty and it sucked it up and that stuff is thick. Later went to fill up a new flavor that is 17% PG and thin, it didn't want to suck it up. Oh I do use the condom fill method.

I have plenty of syringes, I will try that next time I load a new one and see if that helps. I have been using alot of Resurectors lately and they abosorb like crazy, so it may be I just got spoiled to that

I don't care for the boge because they seem so tightly packed. I only use them because I have vv devices. I use a syringe to fill and it seems to work fine. I would rather have the smoketech but I want stainless steel for my tanks and the only ss smoketechs I can find are 1.7. Madvapes does carry them in 2.5 but they are the black stickers. I'm so tired of trying to get the stickers off that it's no longer worth it and when I use them, I don't use a tank. I'm hoping sometime (soon) they will come out with a higher resistance smoketech in stainless steel. I know the dual coil smoketechs come xl and in ss but I don't like using them in tanks cause they seem to flood so much.
