I've been using a lava tube and a provari v2 with volcano ecigs 3 ohm cartomizers with no issue for a month or so now. I just bought a cartomator tank with a pre punched boge Xl figured I'd tried it out to see what all the praise was about. Upon setting up my provari errored at my 4.7 norm. I checked resistance on provari and it read 1.6. I throttled down voltage till it fired. Vapor dropped off so I slowly brought voltage back up and resistance was varying around 3. Then it went to open. I cleaned contacts and tightened it more and it fired again. Resistance kept fluctuating between 2.8 ohms up to 6 and even 8 then back to open. I loaded a volcano carto in the tank and I was back up and running. Initial errors I kept getting was all over the board instead of just one.

the flavor was way stronger with boge compared to the volcano which could be due to greater hole size so I am interested... But the boge. Seems way to finicky. Does this sound like a faulty carto or user error? If its faulty I'd be happy to try again but if its user error (I've not had a problem with my volcanos) it seems like to much fiddling to get it right for my tasted.

input is appreciated
thanks

I used this same set up for almost a year, and it's one of the simplest out there. I use a tank with a fill hole (Not Cigs)and an actual block of aluminum that was designed to be a carto punch from COV. I get boge 3.0 carto's from whomever has them for less than 5bucks a pack, not hard to find on the steals and deals thread regularly. I punch three small holes - one at the bottom of where the tank will be, one on the other side a big higher and one between those 2 a litter higher still, all three still below the half way mark. Filling is a fat gauge needle screw top bottle adapter. Once this is set up, it can go for a week between carto's and the filling is a snap. Glass tanks are best, but be sure to try to find one that will accept Kir Fanis Trap tank tops, as they have a fill hole. Filling carto tanks this way is simple and easy and if you have 2 you only have to do it once ever other day. Hope that helps, if you have any questions please let me know!

Make sure and fill the carto with 20-25 drops with the caps on and let it sit for about 10-20 min before you punch it. I have tried every kind of carto in a tank and I have had the least problems with boge. I would say that some are better than others air flow wise, but I have never had this problem. Also if you are getting bad airflow it all comes down to what mod you put it on and what kind of 510 connection you have. Put an 510 to 510 adapter on and see if it's better. If it is, your mod is doing you a diservice. :p
