Boge XL carto volume?

Hi everyone,

I have happily been using regular sized Boge SR cartos on my eGo and 510 slim batteries, and I recently purchased a large batch of Boge XL sized cartos, expecting them to hold more juice as I read their volume to be 1.2ml compared to 0.9ml for the regular size.

Well, I received the XL's, but found that the stuffing only goes to the same height as the regular sized cartos. Am I missing something here? I expected the stuffing to be a little taller to accommodate more juice. At the moment this seems like a pointless purchase.

Yep i am as confused as you on that one, maybe some people just prefer a longer carto for aesthetic reasons but there doesnt seem a lot of difference internally between the xl and the standard ones?

The XL cartos fit in a dual coil tank. So the extra length does serve a purpose.

The boge xl's are actually too short for a dual coil tank (like the smoktech).

Now, healthcabin did say that boge was starting production on some true boge XXL cartos but that was only a week or two ago and Amy said she had no idea when she'd get any in stock...

I did read beforehand that they were too short for a dual coil tank, which to my mind completely confirmed that they were intended to hold more liquid for basic use on a 510 battery.

I wonder if I could somehow successfully add some sort of extra stuffing in there?

Smoktech single coil 1.7 or 2.0 ohm LR XL cartos that I use measure:

base of 510 connector to end: 50mm
length of stainless tube alone: 45mm
distance from end of carto to stuffing: 8mm (5mm of this measurement required to fit a drip tip)

fluid capacity: 1.75-2.0 ml (60+ drops, for me)

I have many DCTS and they are longer than the cartos I use. Boge 2.0 XL but not by much. Approx. 5mm. I make up the difference by using the Slug drip tip. Stainless Steel Slug Drip Tip from Cigtechs

Hmm, I still can't quite see the purpose of these Boge XL's that I bought. If they are advertised as 1.2ml versus 0.9ml for the regular sized, then shouldn't they be able to hold more juice?

just an fyi, the DCT tanks are so cheap I cut a couple of them them down to fit the boge cartos, works marvelously.

I use standard Boge cartos in tanks all the time. I buy the 3ml tanks and they work just fine. I used a Chibi tank, a Lil Mama tank, and a M1A1 tank. I think standard size Boges will fit in any 3ml tank.
