So following instructions on boiling carts from various sources linked from here, I boiled 3 cartos, left them to sit overnight, and I filled them this morning with new juice. They don't produce vapor. :( So I gather from searching many threads that they weren't thoroughly dry. They all worked fine prior to boiling; I was mostly trying to get rid of old flavors to try out some new ones from PinkSpot.

My question is, if I just wait a few hours/days/years ;) will the water evaporate and the cartos start working again? If not (and I am assuming they won't) will reboiling them and drying them longer/in the oven be worth the time/effort, or are they just toast?

I didn't buy blanks because I thought this process would be pretty darn easy, so I'm stuck with prefilled and can't enjoy my new juice! ;)

And finally, I see everyone saying to spin the juice back out, so I'm assuming the residual water causing the problem doesn't somehow contaminate the juice, and that I should at least salvage the 1mL of juice that I put in each before throwing them away or reboiling, yeah?

I didn't think this was going to be complicated at all. ::sigh::

Thanks everyone!

I'd bet they're still wet, just as you think. I would set them battery end down on top of a light bulb for about 20 min after rewashing them and spinning out excess water. Boiling isn't necessary, just forcing hot tapwater through them will do since they're clean. (I just use vodka, spinning and hot water) They absorb well if completely dry and should be OK. Don't forget to gently clear out the inner channel with a paper clip or needle from the battery end If you can't see light looking through the mouth end.

Once it works you'll feel like you're a master of your cartos!

Go to Walmart and for $2.00 buy an Oral Med Dispenser. Boil cartos for 15 min and then clean and blow as shown in this vid.
Works great and I'm able to use them immediately.

Thank you for the link! I will check that out and give it a whirl next time. I know I'll eventually find a method that actually works, so I'm willing to give 'em all a shot. :)

I've tried everything and this is the quickest, cheapest and easiest way to clean cartos. Use immediately after 50 times blowing out with dispenser but understand the juice will be weak for the first couple of vapes. The water is diluting the VG which is what produces Vapor.
Good Luck.

Okay so just to clarify @vapoor, does that mean I do *not* need to empty out the juice that's already in these little buggers?

I haven't looked at the vid because I'm posting and reading from the iPad. Maybe I should look at the darn video and then the answer will be obious... :/

If you want to save the juice you can try and use a condom on the bottom and suck the juice out but it's not really required- boil 15 mins and then use the Oral Med Dispenser to flush with hot water. Finally use the oral med dispenser to blow the water out of the carto. Included in the Oral Med Dispenser is a small cone- it's fits perfectly over the carto and connects to the Dispenser.
I own an IPhone so I understand
