I have been boiling vg with different tobacco leaves and tea leaves for about 8 months now. I let them macerate for a week after that.
The juices are amazing.
HOWEVER!
I have developed a skin condition, red itchy rashes, especially below the knees to the ankles. Some on the arms as well.
These red sores are extremely itchy and never seem to heal.
I have been to two demarmatologists and have performed an array of biopsies and tests.
They told me it's some form of Eczema, and i am reacting to something.
They put me on steroids a few times, and the sores subside...then as soon as the steroid treatment is over, they return.
I was reading a post that VG when boiled breaks down to Acrolein, or something nasty.
I know that little to none of you guys boil VG and make your own juices. So there is not much point in asking if someone has similar problems.
The best thing i can do now is go back to my normal juices that are not boiled for a few months to see if these allergic reactions subside.
Then again, the whole skin issue may be totally "non-vaping" related. It is just that, there is no other substance that I ingest on a daily basis that could be causing this.
If you know of anyone else who boils VG and macerates tobacco ...let me know.
