The Silver Bullet is bigger, heavier and offers much better construction throughout from the threading to the wires to the button. The Bolt is a smaller lightweight device with a basic horn button. Although it follows the form factor of the Silver Bullet they are really a different grade of equipment. The Bolt could give you a year of service while the SB should last for many. The Silver Bullet has active and helpful support from it's maker here on ECF. Altsmoke also has the Omega, which is the Silver Bullet's completely mechanical sibling, also running an 18650 battery with no wires or button. All the Omega needs is occasional cleaning and it's closer to the Bolt in size and weight. The Silver Bullet and Omega are very durable and well supported, so if I was in Ecuador they would be my safest choices for years of service.

Thank you so much! thats is exactly what I needed to hear and seems that the Omega is the way to go as I need an almost zero maintenance device. You hit the sweet post mentioning I'm located in Ecuador

Sadly seems that the omega is out of stock, any ideas if i cant get it somewhere else? the omega has 510 fittings aswell?

thanx?

I've got both an SB and an Omega. I rarely use the Omega as I really don't like the way if feels. To activate it you have to push the whole top section down which doesn't really appeal to me. The SB is also more pocket friendly since the button is recessed. And the Omega is not a zero maintenance device. Actually I've had to do more maintenance on the Omega than the SB. Juice seems to leak into the top section and gets in the contacts. This needs to be cleaned out periodically or you'll notice a decrease in vapor production. It's not a difficult job, but a hassle in my opinion.

The SB on the other hand just keeps on working, no maintenance required as of yet and I've had mine for over a year. The switch is the smoothest on the market. Those horn switch which the Bolt uses just doesn't compare. I agree with 440BB, they may look similar but they're in completely different classes. If I had my choice of buying 2 Bolt's or 1 SB, I'd take the SB without hesitation. I'd also take the SB over an Omega even if they were the same price. They're that good.

I have the SB and picked it over the omega because hitting the whole top of the mod didn't seem like a natural position where my fingers would want to go to vape. I also think it would be difficult to activate, with my setup which you can see in my avatar, with a tank sitting over top of the button on the omega. Also, it seems that the omega requires more cleaning maintenance than with the recessed button.

I can't compare it to a volt though. The SB is all I have besides my starter 510 kit.

I think I'd still choose the SB over the ProVape 1. Out of curiosity, have you looked into the RoughStack Maxi V2? Those can be found at MadVapes.

I've also got a Roughstack and can tell you it's in the same category as the Bolt. I've had nothing but problems with the switch on mine. Build quality just isn't even close to that of the SB or Omega.

I checked the RoughStack Maxi V2 but honestly I don't like where the switch is located seems very uncomfortable to me.

I'm really into the SB or Provape 1 both seem to be superb devices and at the end since i have to stock up on carts and batteries I will be spending over $200 in any case so for that amount of money I just want to take with me a winner for the years to come, I will still be using my KR808 and 510 T when going out, I love to just tuck them into my shirt pocket but For vaping at work and home the mod will be the one.

I was reading the reviews here on the provape 1 and I was almost sold, but I'm checking anyway since the SB has a tremendous legacy.

Anyone could point out something about the provape in comparison to the SB

Thank you all, you are being very helpful

Let me muddy the waters a bit for you. Another mod to consider would be the Legacy from Puresmoker. It's a bit more money ($89.00), in stock, made of Stainless Steel, has a locking mechanical switch design and is Kick compatible (as are the others) if you'd like to one day step up to VW. The SB is a fine choice for sure but I prefer the smaller size and durability of SS over aluminum. It is as solid a device as is made.

I purchased a omega and loved it then i got the chance to try a SB and loved it and ended up buying one and then another. I like it better because the Omega doesn't work well with tanks because you can't push down on the button. I still use my omega but not as much as my SB's.SB is a well built all around everyday use mod.

Thank you all very much for your valuable input:
Pete, your suggestion on the Legacy is superb, tad late I'm afraid since I already pulled the trigger on the Provape 1 version(2.1)
:D I'm sure this will give me vaping pleasure for years to come, I like all the security options it has and the lifetime warranty I have to be honest and the idea that it is smaller than the SB.

I won't be spending on mods anymore at least this year, next I'll be trying out a VV mod!

Can't wait for the provape to arrive, I'll be sure to let you guys know how I feel with it.
