I guess we got off the reservation on this one. The topic was best value between 3 mods. I kicked it up by bringing up the vv issue. To clarify, between the three og mods stated in the topic the word value is in there. Now the SB is the cheapest of the 3. It is a tried and true product. So the best value of the 3 would be the SB. Also should be noted that in the classifieds it will go faster than other said mods. So if you need the cash right away it is easier to part with an SB than any other. It also keeps it's value if it is in good condition.

We both arrived at the same conclusion. Based on the various posts I ended up buying the SB and am very pleased with it. The most convincing post was the one that stated that of all the mods the person had (including the GG) if they had to select just one it would be the SB.

Well now I just happened upon this post so I'm a bit late to the party, but... If you want the most vesatile mod I say get yourself a SS GGTS and every little bit and piece you can stick on it, in it and around it, and you will be able to have a new mod almost every single day for the rest of your life. If you want a straight up no fail mod you cannot go wrong with a Precise. If you're willing to try a box mod then the easiest least fussy mod going may just be a REO Grand or Mini. Just my thoughts on the subject. But be warned each and every one of us could suggest tons of great mods that you would fall instantly in love with as soon as you got your hands on one or all of them.

If you talk about versatility, for the price of a GG with UFS/AVS, you could even get a Silver Bullet, Omega, and Alpha (all solid mods) in different colors to match your mood. And have enough money for a carto tank mod. LOL  Yeah you can suggest that I own everything Chad-made because they perform and made pretty bulletproof. But in all honesty I would like to own a GG down the road. But as an industrial truck driver, I don't think i can upkeep such a beautiful thing as the GG. I did own 2 Dons, but sold/traded them because of the chrome is just a fingerprint magnet and just didn't like fiddling with the thing, but was still a well made mod. And like anything, you gotta try Ruth's Chris once in a while, but I'll settle for Outback or Sizzler and have enough money for a movie.

The Megalodon Limited Edition Stainless Steel would also be a good choice! Lot of options for a begeiner to find their likeing.SS built to last all mechanical take just about any batery ya have laying around 3.7v 5v 6v 7.4 any adaptor 510, 801 901 . Breaks down to Mini Don mode when out and about or full size. Then always the VV drop in when it comes out. It' will not hurt the pocket too bad!

Cheers

Even thought the Silver Bullet is not mechanical, I think it is more reliable than most mechanical mods. I have moved on from fixed volt devices though I have owned many and still have a few, but if I had to make a choice, I would pick the Silver Bullet first, then the Helix (if you can get one) Helix has the potential for more battery life.

Not trying to be rude, but how would you know it is more reliable then most mechanical mods? Have you owned several mechanical mods that have failed?

And to the OP my vote goes for the Megalodon. Bottom buttons are easy to get used too, its a all mechanical versatile unit, and it is built very well. I had the opportunity to try one first hand, and that sealed the deal for me.

Best wishes in your vapeing aventure. Remember theese words it is just the begeining you can always move up!
