i got a ti boost chip (4050 caz) wired to 2 14500's now it all works i get 5.03 volts coming out of the chip but when i put on my atty (STD 306) 2.9 ohms the volts drop way down to 3.31 Im using 25v 100uf caps. Any help would be great.
i just put a 3.7 ohm carto and then tested the chip again and now i got 5.10 volts can someone explain why a higher ohm gets more voltage out of the chip than a lower ohm atty???
Higher ohms reduce the amp draw (which is your issue) so it works. See the modders section on batteries for that thing. You need high drain. Voltage will suffer with booster chips when amps are insufficient.
Also, a few more posts and you can post in the modding section. Just go say "hi" to a few more noobs, and then hit the modding section. I'm sure someone has used that specific chip before.
