So I sit next to a stash of cell phone batteries and office supplies all the time. This is what I came up with:

1500 mah battery, paperclips, clear tape, rca cable, 1/4" phone plug

WillyB is a good guy, just a perfectionist. Often appears outta nowhere on threads like these to explain how either what was posted can't work; someone else did this same thing 5 years ago and it was much better; or else how someone did this exact same thing 5 years ago and proved that it totally doesn't work. Usually with pictures and links.

:D :D j/j Willy :D :D

Fine, if nobody else is gonna ask then I will...

How does it vape? How is the battery life? Where is the step-by-step How-To?!?

I work in a sign shop. We mainly do big sign enclosures for large LED Message Centers. I have spare electronics alllllll over my office. I need to get the soldering gun and get to work...

Step-by-step how to:

1 - take phone jack with attached cord

2 - connect phone jack cord to battery with paperclips and rubber bands

3 - pop on atty

4 - push on paperclip switch, vape

Is that close fizil?? :D

But that doesn't answer the most IMPORTANT question! How does it vape!?! :p

That's purty dang close. Change phone jack with something i stole from Dalmuta. It's his rca phono jack 801 adaptor that I saw in one of his vids. Basically, there's half a paperclip [in a "U" shape] that has a rubber band under it as a fulcrum, then there's another rubber band on top of it to keep the circuit open until you press it down.

Well....part of the hassle of lazy mods is getting them charged up again. I'm sure I could recharge the battery at work. But that would require odd looks for having this contraption hooked to the external battery charger. OR it would require taking it apart. It's a 1500 mah battery. It hit better than my 600mah ego. I think it's a good all day vaping machine and then some. When my external battery charger comes in from china, I'll give her a charge and make a video for youtube.

ok....i went digging through some of my mod supplies wasting some time while i wait for my battery charger to get here. This is my second high volt vaping experiement since I taped 4 AAs together. This monster kicks like nobody's business on a standard 3.2 ohm atty.

So if you haven't figured it out:
* 6v 1000 mah Ni-Cd rechargeable rc battery
* rubber band [tape optional]
* 2 "wires" [one is a twist tie]
* an 801b-510 adapter used to sintch the wire to the positive side of the atty
* free floating negative wire [just touch it to the outside to fire it off
