I have a few other BB setups but they are much looser than the kayfun.
Which other ones you got? Although personally I have always liked the draw of the tightest ones...

On a couple of kayfun Lite clones, I did drill out the holes under the wick ends where the liquid is drawn up. With my preferred 100%VG, I found that to help a lot. But these kayfun BB decks are so tiny, it is probably super hard to even find an appropriate sized drill bit, let alone see things and get in there and do it without breaking something!

CRSS- is that d80 a built-in LiPo battery?

I got a Vapesnail. Unfortunately I messed it up. My screwdriver slipped and broke a piece off the insulator on the deck.

Then I got a couple of Xeta's. I really like the Xeta. Quite an open draw, though it does leak on me occasionally.

With the KFL's I drilled out the pin to 5/64th for more airflow. Didn't mess with the deck though. Never tried anything like that on the BB Kayfun, like you said it's really small.

Probably a basic question, but I'd be very thankful if anyone can help clear up-
Are the dotAIO mods able to use Boro tanks? I think I've heard the drip tip adapter or flush nut may be different, so maybe all parts can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer
Nope, but you will see DotAIO change the base connection to be more similar to Boro, but the actual size of the tank will be different.
There are some RBAs that can be used on both platforms.

Thanks you guys, answered all my questions and then some!

So I recently got my 2nd ever Boro mod, and it’s the Rift DNA60C. After using it for just a couple days- I can see the appeal of ones like crss has with the built-in LiPo. I WON’T get another 18650 mod unless it’s like my Cthulhu AIO with the magnetic cover and the battery that just pushes in and pull it right out.

We all have different opinions about the optimal battery solution.
Personally, I prefer 18650, easy to get, easy to use, good capacity, and it seems that there is development on that battery size.
My smallest boro aio is a mod from Critival, Polish, here together with DotAIO v2:

18650, screw battery cap, the key to the compactness is Dicode's EC-23 chipset, the same one used on the Dani Extreme tube.

Maybe a bit too technical in the thread, but maybe there are others than me who are also interested in chipset display connectors...

Some things I bought when I was away were 8, 12, 13 pin chipset connectors for the screen, one day I will sit down with DNA 60 and see which one is a perfect match for the chipset and post the number here in the thread. DNA 60 and 60C have 8 pins.
12 pin is for Dicodes, while there is only one type of 13pins so far (normally there are usually three if not 4 types), which should be what DNA80C has.

I bought these from an American company, Mouser electronic, and they are actually very cheap, far too cheap not to have in the box.

What's wrong with the Rift? Does it have problems keeping contact with the battery or is it some other issue? I was looking at getting one too, and if they are closing down it looks like I had better make up my mind one way or the other so any unbiased input is appreciated

What I've heard is that Deathwish has finished making the Rift batches, there won't be any more on the shelves.

They have also taken down the website, impossible to say why, perhaps they had a close collaboration with Suicide Mods where the latter has shut down

I guess the main thing I am (really) not liking about the Rift is the battery compartment lid. I though I'd be ok with it- and many people might be- but man it sure annoys the hell outta me.

On the second day with it, one of the tiny pins fell out of that flip down tab handle, but VaperzCloud sent me out a replacement lid/cap right away. But still it just made me appreciate even more the simplicity of a mod with the magnetic cover and a push in pull out simple battery swap.

That's admittedly pretty nit-picky tho, I think it's built well other than that. I don't so much care for exposed battery mods, especially when the one battery wrap they send with it is TOTAL garbage and literally can't be used. I just spray painted a couple 18650s flat black and they actually match and look fine that way so no biggie after all really

Over the years there have been as many bad battery cap solutions as good ones.
In pure use I prefer them in the classic design, like types like this:
IMG_2693.jpeg

They exist, but we can also make, plastic rods with cuts that are used to screw the cap in and out if we find it difficult with our fingers.

In most cases, the battery cap for 18650 is M20 fine thread, thread pitch 1, 0.75, and rarely 0.5. Many times we can use a cap from another brand. If the diameter is the same it is very easy to see if the thread pitch is the same, you can also line up two caps to each other the threads will line up if they are the same.

As always, there is a difference from brand to brand in terms of quality, nothing is more annoying than chruncy threads, but you mostly get what you pay for.

I don't have a Rift myself, considering it, what I like about it is the cutout itself, that it gives me the opportunity to play with battery wrap
