I am unemployed and just starting vaping and this is a concern of mine, some people are so anti smoking that just the smoke sets them off, ive been having luck with stealth vaping, i cup the cig in my hand and take a deep breath after so almost no smoke comes out, but this isn't 100% satisfying but definetly better than nothing. I did this in a crowded room at an unemployment center with not issues, lol. Please let us know if you make any headway in this issue as I would love to be prepared with a game plan for an issue that could come up in the future. Also, thanks for the links to CSAA i will have to check that out.

The other issue...I've tried telling people that there is no second hand smoke issue, that im exhailing only waper vapor, but the web searches i've done and im sure some others have done aren't CONClUSIVE, there is so much e-cig smear out there that it dilutes the truth and alot of people aren't 100% convinced that its all good.

I love vaping a little at a time, 1 or 2 hits, i dont like the idea of taking a break and taking 20 hits, its just not what im into, but again, might just have to do this if i run across issues. My other concern is how to approach a new work enviornment. Do i just go stealth and be stuck with that, or do I ask people if its ok, then they know and i cant get away with stealthing if they say no as They will know to look out for me smoking....again, not horrible issues to have.. All the same issues happen with analogs, not to mention smelling like smoke and also having NO option but to go outside. oh well, will see where the future takes us. Thanks again for CSAA links, im looking forward to reading that over.

Happy vaping all.

i'm also thinking of an approach to asking for permission with 0mg nic lvl. Maybe telling people that i'm using 0mg nic liquid so they dont cant have any concerns, the other chemicals are all found in food and everyday products like sno cones, cake mix and baby whipes, what exactly are they concerned with at that point, and being able to vape in some way shape or form might be enough just to get by, you know, get that smoke feel even though no nic...i dont know, just an idea.

I'm sorry but ignorance on the subject is no excuse...ignorance doesn't hold up in any legal issue

Ignorance has fueled the 'legal' caldron that we, in the USA, have to live with daily; aka Silence of the Sheeple. Ignorance of the non-legal is a non-issue! Find another battle plan...

also heard that you can refill your carts if your ok with 0mg liquid with VG from the stores baking section, just show them your using something that is from the store and labeled as a cooking item, maybe that could help to lower peoples resistance, then get them to be ok with that and move up to a low odor nic liquid. again, i dont know, just thinking to the future where i might have this issue. Nothing say, you cant be against this like a betty crocker label.

He's the boss. I wouldn't challenge him unless you want to be in the unemployment line.

I wouldn't make signs or hold a sit-in or anything. It's not a hill I'd be willing to die on, but I might ask him if he knows why the person objected. If it's due to allergies or second hand smoke concerns hand them a pamphlet. Might be all it takes. We can't do it in NJ, but it'd sure be nice to vape at your desk if you could!

My boss pulled the "there's still nicotine" thing with me. I still stealth vape like crazy. I keep a fan blowing on my desk all the time, in the corner. I take small puffs, let it out slowly, and blow it directly at the fan when no one is around. It disappears almost immediately. I also vape PG, not VG to lessen the amount of vapor, and I never vape tobacco/strong flavors. I also take advantage of the bathroom.

What they don't know, doesn't hurt me. :D

Gotcha... Thanks

Brother in law. I cut him some slack because he's a nice guy but maybe a brick fell on his head at work.

LOL. The old Brick on the Head Syndrome, I can relate. I have been dealing with some people lately that may have been inflicted with this ailment.

I don't understand, truly, this obsessive need to vape indoors. Really, wouldn't that be stirring the coals? I stealth vape in the bathroom at school or blow my clouds of vapor outside. It just isn't the battle I think needs to be fought. Education should come first, not arguing about whether or not it should be allowed inside. It still looks like smoke, and can be a distraction. We need also respect those who are distracted by this.

Just my 2 cents =)

With 1 out of 10 people being Unemployed, and 15% of the remainder being Underemployed, maybe now is Not the time to get Proactive or to Confront your boss about vaping in Non-Smoking areas while at work.

Can’t you make it to break time without taking a hit?
I'm one of these people, yes I still meet up with the smokers outside. I figure I would have been there anyway what's the big deal. It's outside not a confined area so it doesn't bother me.
