I have several bottom coil tanks and I noticed once you take them apart to clean them the flavor wick just disintegrate. Has anybody had this issue? Do you just buy extra wick material and replace them? if so what size? I was thinking maybe they are a 1mm. Even when I remove them with tweezers they just come apart just looking at them.

If it helps I have a Mini Protank 2 which I have not taken this one a part yet but this is the one I am referring to And this is from my last order of tanks-

Kanger T3s / EVOD Coil replacements- 2.5ohm - (5-Pack)
Kanger EVOD 1.7ml EGO Clearomizer 2.5ohm

I have heard quite a few people use cotton yarn as a flavor wick. Most say they get it at walmart and it's called peaches and cream. I haven't tried it yet, but next time I'm in walmart I'll get some. You are right the flavor wicks are 1mm. I use the ProTank mini 2 as well as a bunch of Evod's but so far the flavor wicks are not falling apart.

I use the yarn from Walmart and I take it apart there's four strands. I use two strands in the coil and two as my top wicks. Works great!!!!

My Protank got 100 times better with just replacing the flavorwick with cotton, and tossing away the silicone-ring covering the coil. This'll be a standard mod on new heads for me.

I can see the cotton being better but why remove the silicone ring from covering the coil?

I, too, use cotton yarn, and like the way it performs as flavor wick, although I use the full strand, don't take it apart.

The silicone ring is there to help seal against the air tube. Taking it out may lead to leaking, imo. Especially if you lay it down!

Agreed, I can't see any advantage in removing the silicone seal except for ejuice leaking out. The seal prevents leakage and has no effect on the taste.
