Is there a way to easily return to the thread list from the bottom of a thread page.

Most if not all forums I frequent have a return to topics button or the home/forums/forum-x/subforum-x/thread_you_just_read type of link structure at the bottom of each thread page. Much like this one has at the top.

This forum has a bottom quick navigation drop down menu so long as to be useless for my purposes.

I am slowly getting used to opening each thread in a new tab and just closing it when finished reading but it is illogical and makes me wonder how most people navigate forums since it apparently hasn't been an issue to date.

Please consider adding such an element if it's feasible.

Thanks

at the very bottom are these options :

Contact Us
e-cigarette-forum
Mod

Top

Is this what your are looking for ?

Like the thread title says it is but an annoyance not an outrage. Just thought it odd this is the only vbulletin forum i know of without a return to topic list option at the bottom of a thread page.

Enjoy

These items at the bottom of the page are live links.
The one that says e-cigarette-forum takes you to the front page of the forum.

I can see your point. It makes using a phone really difficult without a forum app. So much so that I just quit trying cause I have a crap gen 1 Droid Precedent and it simply doesn't have the capacity for a forum app.

Many people, myself included, seem to just check their friends' feed, find a few current topics they want to chime in on and then use their profile activity feed to navigate as responses come in, but it is a bit of a nuisance.

Actually, I'm not familiar with Vbulletin's structure or code specs, and I'm not particularly good with code yet, but I have a lot of friends who make a living on web design and the like and they help me with a lot of networking and IT issues even for others free of charge. So, if an admin or anyone else for that matter could give me some details on how the Vbulletin system works (a comprehensive "Vbulletin 101" link would be preferred as giving all the details here would be both impossible and potentially hazardous) I'd love to get to work on something like a "recent threads" drop down menu that would queue/cache your last 5-10 topics, with the admins approval of course and I'd gladly submit it for a review of the code before it was implemented.

I promise you that I'm no cracker, in the digital sense of cracking programs and systems I am white though lol, at least not for private systems, or any system I don't have permission to access. Still, I understand the risk involved in using someone else's code without checking it and would take no offence to any skepticism.

i'm not sure if mobile apps work the same but i easily accomplish what you are suggesting by going back to the top of the page, clicking 'what's new' and then 'my posts'
this will show me all the threads i posted in, from newest to oldest, and indicating if there have been new posts since my last visit.

That is the best way to do it...despite it "feeling" unfamiliar to you.

Good luck
