Best part, been looking for something like this for a while! I've been making a mod, and since I bought a VV mod, I decided to turn the one i'm making into a mechanical. Is it just me, or is finding information on making them kind of hard?

It is hard to find out how to make mechanicals that's why u have to literally go to the hardware store and build it while your there haha

Yeah, have done that with many projects. The people at my local Ace literally know that if I show up, random things will be bought and at least one of them will find me in the middle of an aisle building something in my mind. Personally, i'm trying to build a side button style, but can't find anything on it.

Was thinking upper. Only thing I have come up with is a piece of angle metal on top of the positive battery terminal with a "switch" with a wire attached and connected to a 510 connector. Basic spring to hold it back, but closes the circuit when you push the "switch" and it makes contact with the angle metal. Elegant, no. Simple, yes. I still don't understand how pinky switches work though.

As far as bottom firing switches? And as far as the side mounted if you get a switch any kind really and you soldier a piece of metal like a flat piece of metal on each terminal of the switch then use my idea for the positive for the 510 connection that i used for my mechanical get a roller bearing which Is a cylinder and wrap it in shrink wrap to insulate it from the rest of the 510 connection then have the bottom of that roller bearing resting on top of the flat piece of the metal coming from the switch

Update I found an easier way to set up the switch and its less likely to fire by itself image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
