Bought a crappy clone... What setup (clone) should i get for fitment / quality?

Hey guys,

Soo I recently purchased a Turtle ship clone v1 (upgraded switch magnets)

I have a ultra fire battery and a sony battery, and also a Omega rda clone.


I can not get everything to fit snugly without it continuous "firing" one its all screwed down with the ultrafire battery,

Also once I screw the atty onto the top of the mod, it pops out the little contact pin on it... and if I use it on the sony, I think it stays on full contact.. Got my ... shocked a good time lmao..

I will send it back to the ebay vendor to see if he can mess with it since he doesn't do refunds..

At this point im really not happy with this setup.. The firing button is ridiculously weak (cant stand on its own, and if I slightly touch anyside of it while the top rda and button firing button is LOOSE, it fires... for the ultrafire battery..

But the sony battery I cant even get it to fire correctly... it seems so short for the 18650.. battery rattle also.


Anyone have any good recommendations on a setup? I wanna chase some clouds!

The two best clone manufacturers that I've found are Hcigar and Ehpro. They always produce high quality clones.

Tobeco is also good, but not as consistent. Fastech clones are also generally good, but inconsistent.


I've got Hcigar Nemesis, 69, and Kayfun 3.1 clones. All are excellent products.

I may go Hcigar next.. I think the Turtle ship clone was a Tobeco... POS...

get a nemesis clone that's the easiest mod to adjust and have everything perfectly fitted because of its design; everything sits flush, no battery rattle on any battery.

Sounds like you have a switch issue.

Trash the Ultrafire, man. Or any of those "xxxxfire" branded batteries. I never buy batteries from eBay as a rule. Not a good move. Just too many reputable vendors out there with good prices to risk counterfeits on eBay.

As far as magnets, you need to check out "FatDaddyVapes". He sells REAL Neodymium magnet upgrades for clones. Not those cheap, fragile FT garbage magnets.

I can second this. Took a minute or two to get everything situated but I'm happier than a pig in .... with it. Nemesis clone in 18650 mode, sigelei kick clone v1, kfl+ clone with dual coil at 1.2ohm. Did I get clone crazy or something?

Im a noobie to the mods area, I know to use a legit battery from what ive been reading on the safety issues part, but the ultrafire just came wit hthe charger I ordered. But ill put in a order for some more sony 30a's. I will be sending my Mod and Rda to the dealer to see if he can mess with it, but in the mean time. most likely order another Mod..

well I live in mexico so my best options are fasttech, I got my nemesis there and waiting for my second one, but you'll be fine with ebay or 101vape

my nemeses probably aren't the same manufacturer as the ones you are likely to find on ebay but I hear the hcigar ones are good

IMO the nemesis is the most fiddle free most adjustable mod (besides the telescopes that I don't like) that why when I decided to stop collecting mods I just made a final buy my second nemesis

My experience is that the Tobeco turtle ship is no good. The 510 pin is manufactured to look adjustable, but is not. Trying to do so causes the housing it's screwed into to pop out. As long as it pops out and sits centered on top of the battery and everything is tight, it fires. The tube threads are also very finicky. Once it's set up it works fine.

Next purchase of a clone will be HCigar. I've not read or heard a legitimate complaint of their products yet.

Hcigar is awsome I own 4 nemesis mods from them no issues at all

At this moment I'm using a Hcigar stainless nemesis clone with EFest 35A IMR 18650 with a EHpro Omega clone on it with a single 1.2 ohm coil. Really a great working combo. I also have the brass and copper hcigar nemesis clones with a couple of different Tobecco Kayfun Lite + clones on them one setup with the Nano tank setup the other the normal. Also a very good combination for my needs.
