Well I checked on the aspire website of the product verification code of the 2 aspire products I bought from ebay, one was from vapor200k which was replacement coils which were real and the $19 tank nautilis I bought from another buyer appears to be faked as seen by the verification code wss searched 69 times previously. Now I guess that means the vision spinner 2 is fake as well since I got it from the same guy that sold me the fake nautilus so I guess that means I can chargeback and get my money back for both items. But do fakes actually effect performance, regardless I am going to get my moneyback and keep the item will it be that much worse than the authentic nautilus??? And does that mean the spinner is fake aswell?

I would absolutely do it for no other reason than to teach these bottom feeder EBay sellers from selling crap for authentic. There are some good ones on Ebay, and it makes it hard on them to sell due to the mistrust brought on by these guys selling counterfeits. I would especially if it was represented as authentic, and you paid more than reasonable price for a clone.

This guy is a very reputable seller and he told me the one he sent me was 100% real so he definitely lied... Im just worried the vision spinner is fake as well

Unfortunately, there are a lot of reputable sellers who also think they are getting the real thing. They are being lied to as well. Your seller actually may believe it and that's why he also told you they were authentic. If you didn't get a rip off price and the Nautilus fake works fine, then so be it. I would be more concerned about anything battery related though. Counterfeit batteries are rampant and you are best to just buy from trusted sources. I would contact your seller though and let him know what's going on.

There are differences. I bought one that was labeled as a clone. I didn't notice till after I bought it. I figured I would go ahead and see the difference. The only real difference was the chimney was not straight which caused me to cross thread my coil. I was able to bend it pretty close but you have to be real careful or it will still cross thread. I have 2 real one plus a mini real one and I can say if you are presented with the choice to buy a clone, don't. And if they lie do the charge back.

Happy Trails,
Jack

He may not be lying. He bought it somewhere, too. His supplier may be selling fakes. How is he to know it's fake unless he scratches the code bar. If he does that then who is going to buy it as a "new" item? Unless he's manufacturing them, you may want to cut the guy some slack & talk to him. he may not know he's selling bogus goods.
I got lucky, I guess, got both of mine on Ebay & they are registered real.

Iv gone through this before, last one was with a Protank 3 mini. If you paid with PayPal, put it in dispute. Take a screen shot of the item being checked 69 times as proof. In most cases you will get a refund, in others the seller, having lied will ask you to send it back for a refund, require them pay return shipping!!..... Don't back down on the shipping, you didn't pay to have them ship you a fake, why would you pay to return it. Most importantly, DO NOT take it out of dispute till you have the cash in your hand. It's unfortunate, but I've gone through this 4-5 times and quit ebay all together. One a plus side... I've gotten a few free clones to give away :-/ LOL

I got a fake on eBay too. I found a posting that showed pics of a real one and a fake one, so I knew mine was fake. The biggest difference (besides the serial number being checked a couple thousand times) is the pin at the bottom....the real one has a kind of springy one that pokes out (and can be pulled out and lost!), and the fake one is just solid. I did get the fake one at a good price, and it actually works perfectly, so I'm not too upset. The seller though didn't help....I wrote and told him I got a fake, and he wrote back asking what he could do to make me a happy customer. I wrote back asking if he could give me a deal on a Nautilus Mini. He wrote back saying he had some in his Buy It Now selection, no offer of a discount, and the prices were higher than where I could get them elsewhere. So I'm not sure how that was gonna make me a happier customer. LOL

What did the description on the fake actually say? Did it say Nautilus, or Nautilus from Aspire. If the name of the original releasing company (aspire, kanger, inokin, etc.) is not in the description, there is an argument that the seller's description wasn't a lie.

PLEASE don't throw things at me, I'm not saying that it is right, ethical or moral. I'm just saying that it is done on eBay all the time.

grrrrrr.... I think mine is fake, The seller is a reputable online store. I wrote them explaining how I think it was inadvertent, but I think I have a clone. We'll see what they write back.

Id do what others said, buy authentic coils 5 pack and then keep the clone so it will perform just as good as the real one
