316,400,500??? And wats the difference between them.the Higher the grade the better? Also I'll be using 28 gauge kanthal. Other than that anyone have any tips or tricks to make the rsst better? Besides drilling out the airhole

316 is stainless steel grade of the mesh and 400,500 are the sizes no.of squares per sq.inch.
what pg/vg ratio of juice are you going to use? Do you have a way to check the resistance? What size of Kanthel wire are you going to use? There are some safety issues if you haven't done your research. Please do so before you build a Geny higher guage mesh for thinner juices lower for thicker. You are pretty safe with 400 for all around use.

but ecf has educated me a lot regarding this type of setups.

capillary action depends on the mix ratio of the liquids and mesh size.
with different sizes of resistance wire we can setup sub ohm,LR,SR,micro coils.

ecf is a great place you can find a lot of information regarding the safety concerns

Proetus, with the SS rope do you wrap it with mesh at the top or is it just straight SS rope?
I use 500 in my rsst and it works great with 50/50 juice.It has never given me any reason to try anything else. My brother had some ss rope
that was the right size for my aga t2 and wow what a difference. Great wicking, good flavor and an easy setup. Try it!
