Ok I'm just starting out in the world if rba's and thanks to a love of tillering I live them; even if I can't roll a mesh and coil perfectly and rapidly yet.

I'm sure the information is in here somewhere but can anyone describe thé difference between the different grades if mesh.

Do some wick better than others, or roll easier?

They are all usable for different purposes and e-liquids.

Sometimes I choose #400 for a 50/50 clear and "easy" liquids. But sometimes even 50/50 liquid can be dark, sweet, perhaps organic... then I choose #325. Whatever works with your style, to roll a meshwick and wrap a coil. Also atomizer - especially wickhole size - and how hard your device can fire matters; watt power & wicking must be balanced.

I personally like to do solid unoxidized meshwicks, not straws. I roll my wicks quite tight from the beginning, but softer until it's ready and right size for the wickhole. My ohms are usually 0.8-1.0, but in really small chambered atomizers ohms can be a little higher (G-Bell, mini-DID etc.). I use mechanical mods or hybrids, which don't have significant voltage drop issues.

If you have genesis atomizer, that has little wickhole (something like 2.5mm) and you want to use VG-liquids; go with the #200 mesh. I have found it to be excellent, it wicks really steady and efficient. Taste is also brilliant and strong.

So - buy couple sheets all of them. Meshcompany is quite budget friendly place, you can find your kanthal also from there.
