Anyone that thinks or claims any China APV has better threads than another needs to think again. Some may have one or the other that has let them down first, but all have had owners claiming issues with thread failure.
The #1 cause of thread failure is the weaker materials used and users not understanding the need to be careful.
The #2 reason is the wide range of not so Spec 510 devices being sold/bought/used on these devices. Some are very tight in spec and all but stretch threading. Some are sloppy loose(undersized) and dig at threads.
Some sit to high and people try to force then further down.
Some don't make decent connection and people crank extra hard to get them firing.

We are great at abusing and not accepting that we caused anything to go wrong. We, including me.

The only semi-good threaded Mods are the 510 only with no drip well. Most of those are threads machined directly into the head of the device.

Still, paying attention to Mod condition and taking appropriate measures, any of these mods can be protected and last many years.
Air Flow controllers, Ego sleeves, tank supports all provide much needed extra support to protect 510 connections.

I will have to agree about many devices (atomizer) not being standard sizes or being sub par. I personally feel that's what happened on my SECOND eVic.

On the 2nd eVic I was very careful not to over tighten the atomizer because I had already been thru one set of threads on the first eVic.

But buying online current atomizer, drippers, Taifun GT, kayfun, etc... I'm almost certain the variation in width of those male 510 threads are what caused my (SECOND) eVic to have loose 510 connection...That and whatever soft(ish) metal joytech is using.
