Okay, thanks for the info all 510s accessories fitting is real good news.

I just ordered 10 ea. eGo-DC-B eGo Mega Dual Coil 4 ML Cartomizer LR 1.5 Ohm and
2 ea. eGo 1000 VZ eGo-T tank Passthrough USB Battery 1000mAh.

I am afraid i don't really know what I am doing (2 weeks vaping now). I am concerned about Madvapes calling the cartomizer an eGo-DC-B. I have seen letters associated with eGo designations, i.e. The "New type "C" and am getting worried about stuff fitting and working right together.

The other concern is the bigger battery "pass through" is called an eGo-T Tank. As far as I know, I only got standard eGo starter kit and all this talk about tanks just confuses me.

Do you think the new stuff ordered will work together or with work with my standard kit stuff?

The 'tanks' for Egos have gone through a few changes and they just change the letters at the end, I think. But they all work, sort of, on any Ego style battery.

As to names Joye and Ego seem to get used by many companies that aren't actually the Joyetech company. I'm probably wrong but Joyetech seems to be the first company that came out with the 'Joye 510' standard cigarette sized battery. The they came out with the Ego, a larger sized battery but still using the 510 threads so accessories for the 510 would still fit.
The tanks came later so it would look more polished. First the A, then B, then the C tanks.

At least that's my understanding of the progression.

So all the letters are still 510 geared and should work together? Also, is the pass throught thin a separate battery or would is be always connected to USB source to work?

On reason I got the pass through thingy 1000 mAh is larger size to not prematurely burn out the standard ones if they can't take the 1.5 ohm loads.

am I at all on the right track or am is still lost in the woods?

There's two types of passthroughs. A straight type delivers unaltered 5 volts and should never, ever be hooked up to a USB port on a computer. The other type has a battery inline that gets charged and then regulate the voltage down to something less, like 3.4 -3.7 volts. As to whether you hook this up to a computer is debatable.

The first has to be hooked up to a voltage source that can handle the load for it to work. The latter charges a battery so it doesn't need to be plugged in to work.

So all the letters are still 510 geared and should work together?

In theory, yes. They should all be able to screw onto a Ego style battery. But from what I've read folks have had some problems with certain types of what Joye calls tanks. Mostly leaks but I'm sure there's been other issues too.

The eGo PT can be disconnected from the usb power source and used just like any other battery. If you bought the "T" type PT it comes with a cover to go over the mini usb connection on the end of it to keep it clean when you have it disconnected. The battery would drain at approx. the same rate as any other 1000mah when disconnected.
