Bought my first real mech mod, Have some questions (voltage, ohms, wattage)

I finally bought a mechanical mod, The Vapeonly vMecha. It came with a iClear 30B atomizer. Have a couple of questions. I'm loving it so far, The ohms on the tank is 2.0. The vapor production is really nice. Nowhere near a cloudchaser, but to stop smoking, it does the trick nicely. The Mod itself has a "Hard short protection" So no sub ohm vaping. The lowest it could go is 1.0 ohms before it shuts off. If I were to buy a rda (Magma ,Vulcan, maybe a Stillare Infinite), and build a 1.0 ohm exact coil on it, would it produce the clouds I'm seeking?

I think you would be pleased with the difference between an RDA and your iClear. Not sure I understand how a mechanical mod has built in protection, are you using a fuse with it?

That I hear. And It comes with a fuse installed, so I can't remove it. Checking the reviews, it seems that if you go down ohms below 1.0-1.1, the fuse activates, not allowing electricity flow.

I can only speak on the Magma. It offers a single coil air flow mode which makes it perfect to build a single 1ohm coil on (10 wraps of 26 guage on a 2mm drill bit). I recommend lower guage wires because there is no need for a torch and they are less prone to splitting during installation. However, it is possible to build 1ohm dual coild with 28-30 guage wires.

The Vapeonly vMecha's overamp draw protection is usually 5-7 amps. What battery do you have?
A fully charged 18650 battery at 4.2 volts will draw 4.2 amps which is within the limitation.

I have no clue on the battery spec, all I know that it's a sanyo. What if I buy a VTC3?

how many watts will it spit out if I do that build you mentioned at 1.0?

The max wattage you would get is 17.64 watts.

A VTC3 battery with 30amp discharge is a little overkill for your mod. I'm assuming you're in 18650 mode (fully extended mod)?

I'd recommend an AW IMR 18650 2000mah 10Amp CDR or one with similar specs, suited specifically for the vMecha.

Yes, I am currently using a 18650 on the mod. So a PANASONIC NCR18650PD HIGH DRAIN 10A Hybrid IMR Li-on 18650 Battery 2900mAh will be good for this mod, with the magma, most rda's and the iclear I'm using currently?
