Just bought the smok tfv4 so far loving it I have the quad coil in it on my cuboid and running it at 80-100 watts. The flavor is amazing and vapor production is amazing. Not sure why ppl are saying the flavor isn't good? Why can't I go over 100watts with the quad coil on my cuboid? Also is this the correct wattage to be running the quad and triple:
Triple coil 40-90w
Quad- 50-120w
Any tips also on the rba head? First time I am going to attempt to build or wick my own coil I should say? What wattage should you run the rba at? The guys at the shop didn't know!!? Thanks guys

The resistance of your build determines the wattage needed.
Learning how ohms law relates to vaping will help you understand how your gear works.

The guys at your shop seem to be idiots who dont understand a thing about the gear they are selling.

Glad you like your TFV4. As for the coils, I just find the wattage that gives me the vape I want. Just because it can handle 120 watts doesn't mean that you will like it that high. I find the quad coil works best if I start it around 60 watts and then gradually raise it to 75 -80 watts.
As for the RBA, you didn't say if it was a single coil, dual coil or Clapton RBA. The single coils are around .8 so I am thinking you would start at 20 watts and work up to 35 for the best vape. The Clapton Coil is .3 to .35 and I have mine set around 45 watts. The Dual coil is .25 and should be fine starting at 35 watts and working up to 50-60 watts. When you put your own builds on your RBA, you can build it to your desired wattage.
On all my coils I start low for several vapes to break the coil in and just gradually work up to get my desired vape.

Thanks @gofishtx i am enjoying it. I find the quad at 70-80 watts to be nice :) So I was looking on YouTube for some videos but all the kits they were showing had a different RBA than mine. It says tf-r1 on the side of my RBA here's a pic below! All the other rba's on YouTube that came with the kit had extra wire and the spiraling of the coil looked different.

I have the 200 watt upgrade on it! Weird!!
The Cuboid has a power limit depending on the build you have on it and battery voltage. probably one of the safer devices for those new to sub ohm and higher watts. The higher the watts the less battery life you will have though
Did you get the TFV4 full size kit? If so that is the single RBA and the pre-built coils for the RBA should read .85 start at the lowest watts it will fire on and work your way up to your sweet spot. It looks easy to build on. I have the TFV4 Minis that come with the Clapton RBA deck and also a dual coil rba that I purchased separately.
The Clapton is easy to build on, the dual coil deck is a little difficult to get wicked properly, but once you figure it out its all good;)
Found this
RBA Series:

TFV4 RBA Single Coil (TF-R1): The Rebuildable base atomizer for the ones who love to build their own coils or want to start building their own coils on the TFV4 in single coil mode. Available in 0.85Ω

TFV4 RBA Dual Coil (TF-R2): The Rebuildable base for those users who want to build dual coils in the TFV4 Tank to bring the vape to their personal preference. Available in 0.25Ω

TFV4 Rebuildable Clapton RBA Base (TF-RCA): This rebuildable base, compatible to be built with Clapton coil builds, features a four post single coil build.
Of course you could do 4 wraps on 24 gge on your single rba for I believe around .35 I am not sure if 22 gge would fit but 4 wraps would bring it down under .3 ohms

Lol yes it seems that way... Luckily you guys are here :) The RBA in the smok already comes pre assembled all you have to do is add the cotton. I was just wondering what wattage you would run it at?

I have the tfv 4 and tfv mini.

See my first post.
The resistance of the build determines the wattage you need.

I threw the stock coil in the garbage and built proper coils.

You will virtually never get 200 watts from 2 18650's. About 150 is the absolute max and that depends on coil resistance to get that much. And it will not hold 150 for very long.

200w dual 18650's are somewhat of a joke.

Don't get me wrong your mod is a very nice mod just very overspec.

@gofishtx thanks :) I did get the full size kit! Thanks for the info!! I may have to go into my Vap shop when I try the RBA tf-r1 I was hoping to find a video online on how to build on this guy. All I can find are tf-r4 RBA videos. Oh well I'm in no rush as mentioned I have the quad coil in there now and I hear that last a good three weeks!

@Robert Cromwell thanks! Yeah I'm happy vaping the quad at 80-100 watts. Mostly 80-90. :)

@Bad Ninja im fairly new to vaping (8 weeks) and even newer to RBA. The resistance that's the wire that determines that no? As you can see in the pic above the wire is already pre installed. Someone mentioned .85. I'm just wanting to see a video on how to install the cotton on this deck. Worst comes to worst when I'm ready I'll get someone at the Vap shop to show me for the first time!

Also when should you refill this tank? Guys at the shop told me once it gets below the second row of juice channels from the top? I found that to be a bit much and it's fine even below or at the third row of juice channels! I believe there is a fourth row that u can't see from the tank that is all the way at the bottom and not visible from the tank. Filling up the juice as the genius suggested (2nd row) you would be basically mixing flavors.

Here you go. The videos of the TFV4 RBA has some that include the single coil

Resistance is measured in ohms.
.85 is the resistance of the stock coil.

I build a .4 ohm coil for that deck and usually vape it at about 35-40 watts.

Before using that deck you seriously need to take time and learn how your gear works.

If you want to change juice flavors, then wait until it gets to the bottom, and before you get a dry hit. Those quads hold quite a bit of juice. You are going to have some overlap and mixing of flavors. If I am not changing flavors I just top off the juice when I feel like it, otherwise I take it to the bottom and then fill.
Sometimes it's a pleasant surprise of mixed flavors and sometimes it's the big nasty:shock:, but it doesn't take long to vape out the mix and enjoy your second flavor.

@Bad Ninja thanks! And yes definitely will take my time that's why I'm here :). Also I heard not to fill the tank to its maximum capacity as it may leak the first time using the RBA deck?

Thanks again @gofishtx amazing information for a newbie like me :). That's also what I was thinking that these monster coils hold a lot of juice therefore no issues vaping all the juice out of the tank :).
