Erik, a Reo is a great device - it's a box mech squonker. Check out the Reo threads for info on how they work and what they look like. If you want a regulated device, there are a ton from which to choose - with and without temp control - at many different price points. Perhaps take a look at Vapor Flask (expensive), Sigelei (various sizes/wattages), and the MVP4. Hope this helps, and welcome to ECF!

There really are so many to choose from these days. It's a matter of personal taste and specs.

You said you wanted one for sub ohming, which most will do, but to a point. Some will go only to .5ohm (fine for most sub ohm tanks) and some will go as low as .1 ohm which are great for dripping too. I would say the sigelei's are great box mods for not a whole lot of cash. And when you feel like trying temp control, I prefer the SX Mini M Series myself.

Yeah budget is most important. I'm a little cheaper so I go with stuff like istick and mvp, which perform awesome with my subtanks. But something like others recommend have replaceable batteries and could last years if taken care of. But they're about 5 times the price. So I'll just buy 5 iSticks if I need to lol.

If I could spend more on mods (I already spent too much) I'd get a vapor flask or a sigelei, but I can't. So you should, so I can vape on them vicariously through you!
I just bought a subox, which is the new kbox. I have the kbox and I like it but it has a few issues that bug me, like the pain-in-the-.... battery compartment that is a killer to unscrew. The new version has a magnetic door (Like my vaporshark! Love that feature!) and also a usb charger so I snagged one of those to replace my kbox. Who am I kidding...I don't replace mods, I buy them friends.

ipv's and mvp's seem good though I can't say that from direct experience.
Sx mini m class is very good again don't have one.
I have a reo on the way and a custom mod that has the same chip as the sx mini m class.
I have a sigelei 100w plus and that has been very good. Though I think i will prefer the chip the sx mini m class has.

I bought a Sigelei mini 30w box mod for about $40 and it is a great device for a little bit of money....that way you could see if you like box mods without spending your whole budget.I think it fires as low as .3 ohms.then if you like it you could upgrade to one of the bigger wattage devices or temp control units....just my 2 cents

I'm waiting on getting the Subox until it is available without the tank and the crash test dummy reports are in.
