Yep that's the one I found, read the comments for the problem and solution. Or at least the solution to have it not be there. It's not in the mod it's between the screen cover and the screen. It's coming in from the fire button.
Any other mod covered in eliquid like that would have the liquid inside the mod.
There's one comment that had theirs build up in the 510 and allegedly cause a short (I say allegedly because I've never heard of liquid causing shorts, only fears of liquids causing shorts, if it does short why doesn't it short across coils?).
Those people must have a lot more tolerance for leaking tanks than I do. I would either fix the tank or stop using it.
IP67 waterproof, able to withstand immersion for up to 30 minutes and at a depth of up to 1 meter. Not to be confused with able to withstand being constantly covered in juice![]()
I thought I had a watchmaker solution, silicone that stays wet behind the screen cover around the button, but then I figured the way eliquid is it would eventually find or make a way.
I remember people saying the viscosity of PG could find its way under crowns, and that's some major glue sealing it and a tight fit (my crowns that went bad were bad jobs, either a bad fit or left some decay at the base, so I can't blame the eliquid).
Reading the comments on the video it seems like some are thinking it's water resistant (1 meter doesn't qualify as proof) so they put their leakers on it. Why would anyone keep using a leaker? Would any other mod do any better constantly bathed in eliquid?
I have a smoant cylon it's one of my favorite mods and like, if anyone should get the line through the screen, it should be me. I drop that sucker all the time I mean not literally but yeah, enough.
This is my screen today
I can't say I've ever dropped it, definitely not any hard drops. I think it's bad screens, hopefully it was a batch problem.
The weight difference is the Cylon is .2oz heavier. Full TFV4 on the Cylon, half full Themis mesh on the Legend.
My hope for the Cylon was to be able to replace the leatherette with leather which could've been done but would require contact cement.
Of course the same plan works out better with the Legends.
I don't mind heavy, but if I wanted a smaller or lighter dual battery mod I would look at Proton and Battlestar. They're both about 3oz lighter and smaller than Cylon and Legend and a much smaller feel.
I did have my Proton bathed in eliquid for about a week. I'm sure it's still got eliquid in the many seams. And that one has taken a pretty hard drop, although not the hardest I've had.
