Box mods

hi I got into gaping few months ago got up to a tugboat v2 setup the splatter mech with the competition cap running 5 wrap 22 gauge = about .14 . I wanna get a box mod tho in a few days was looking at the tug unregulated but it says it only supports down to .15 ohms . Will a unregulated box mod hit harder at .15 ohms then my mech at .14 ohms . Should I get unregulated or regulated . Any suggestions on any boxes to get ??? And how long do batteries last how do u keep them in shape and not run them out of life if u kno what I mean . Like fully kill them and waste them . Thanks guys

Hello @Sparkler24. Welcome to ECF. I would suggest a regulated device. As for suggestions...

● Snow wolf (with temp control option)
● Sigelei 150 watt (reliable but without temp control)

I'm assuming your after a dual 18650 box mod?

My batterys I keep in shape by only discharging them to about 50%, then recharging them. Keeps them in good shape

Definitely regulated. BTW, that .15 build is far too low for a one battery tube mod. That draws 28 amps and you're risking a thermal runaway unless you have LG HB6 or Sony VTC4 batteries. I try to hold my one-battery builds to .5 or so.

Totally agree with this and also remember with a regulated box there is no reason to build that low. Just turn it up. Only thing to remember is with a box with series batteries you don't have the amps of both.
