BP day 2

I woke up this morning, starting vaping away on my bp, went to unscrew my tank and the top cap came with it and broke the red wire off from the inside top connection. ughh , i really dont dare mess with trying to fix it myself, not to mention i dont have the proper tools to do so. May have to send it in for a repair.

im pretty upset with myself, the top cap must not have been on that tight, i really should have checked it.

im pretty sure i could fix it, if i can find the very small connection in there somewhere local. Im kinda of in the middle of no mans land.

Blah, that sucks. Don't feel bad though I've done it to. I'm the resident expert at breaking Buzz Pro's.

lol, i think ill just send it in for a repair, i feel better about that, then messing with it myself.

VA if you can solder at all its a super easy fix. If not Im sure Mike will RMA it and have it back out to ya the same day he gets it. Its a 5 minute repair.

its broke off from inside the crimped connecter, that connects to the 510 connection. Wouldn't i want a new connector and re crimp the wire in it?

When I did my original buzz I just peeled off the coating soldered the wire back to the connector and shrink wrapped it. Never broke again. Ive never had luck crimping a ring connector that is that small so I tend to go with solder. Shoot mike a email and he can walk you through it or approve a RMA, whichever you prefer.

At worse you'll have to send it to the Buzzpital but they are quick and you'll have it right back. Even better Ruppy can tell you how to fix it!! Good luck.

I get shrink wrap at radio shack. You can get it at lowes or home depot as well.

I shrink it with the upper part of my soldering iron.

ok thanks a lot ruppy, i removed the shrink wrap and re-spliced my red wire. Im heading to radio shack now to get the solder, iron, and shrink wrap. Ill let you know how it goes.

Grab a tiny thing of flux too Make it sooooo much easier

You can do it without but it makes it easier Its only a single connection. Not like your doing a whole circuit board

all fixed, looks good and my buzz is back in working order, i appreciate your help ruppy. This connection def. looks like it will hold good for a long time.
