Hey guys,

I didnt want to threadjack anyone, so I figured that this is probably the best place to post this. If it isnt, mods, don't be afraid to move or delete it. I am a hookah smoker, but not a nic addict. I wanted to try vaping, because I heard that the experience is very much like hookah, but with portability and without setup. due to this, i knew that I would have to get something with serious vapour output and a long battery. I have tried a cigarette look a likes before and I thought it was okay. I was first looking into getting a standard ego kit to begin with. Then after a day or two of research, I decided that it would be smart to cut straight to the good stuff to save a little money from eventually having to upgrade. Also, they dont seem that difficult to put together my own package. The difference in price was maybe $20, so I didnt mind getting a VV. I was first looking at getting a Vision spinner, but with the charger, clearos and replacement coils, it came to around $50-$60. Plus, I think mid sized batteries look stupid with big clearos on them. Then I looked into the Vamo and the iTaste MVP. The vamo does seem like a better unit, but I really didnt like the look of it. So I finally decided to get the MVP. My order from Canvape consisted of the MVP (includes two iClear 16 clearos), a Boge F-16 carto and tank, 5 carto refills for the Boge (I opted for getting the Boge and refills at $12 instead of getting the 5 iClear coils for $10), delrin drip tip and two of their 10ml 0mg juices to tie me over till I find a decent juice supplier. What do you guys think of this setup? Any user recommendations? I know this isnt the normal path of a beginner, but I decided that it would be best for myself. I'm pretty intuitive, and I'm used to the heat management of smoking hookah (actually, vaping seems much easier - the VV function is simular). Any recommendations for juice in Canada and what things I would need to pick up next? An RBA so that I can test out a bunch pof new flavours the day I buy them? I'm going to buy a vape supreme skin eventually as well. Thanks!:D

Can you pick up locally from Maple Leaf in toronto? The ready to vape juice selection sucks from Canvape ]:

I DIY my juice so don't know.Used to be able to a yr ago. Seeing as your zero nic you may want ot look inti DIY juice. MUCH cheaper and except for flavoring PG and VG can be bought inexpensively at the pharmacy. PG- 500 ml for $11.00 and VG- 250 ml for $6.00. Flavoring added in is anywhere from 10- 20%.

Wow, jugheads is so damn cheap! I'm going to try some of theirs before i mix my own. However, If i'm looking for big clouds and bold flavour with minimal throat hit, what pg/vg should I get? I was thinking 30pg/70vg?

If you want big clouds and minimal throat hit just go straight VG. I order exclusively from Juggies and his flavors are top notch. If I have to take a PG/VG mix I go 20 pg and 80 vg. He has a great line of VG only and some wonderful original flavors that are pg/vg mix. Check out the Jugheads thread on the Canada forum just to see what a following he has, and for flavor recommendations.

Edit he also sells DIY stuff, if you get interested in that later on.

Great! I'm just going to try out a big selection ranging from 50/50 up to 100vg to try out. I did hear that VG is thicker and can have some wicking problems. True?

I haven't had any problem with VG and wicking so far. I do notice it gets really thick near the bottom of the tank but after 2 or 3 refills I dump it and wash out the wick and it's good to go again.

What tanking/wicking system are you using? N/M just reread the op. I have no experience with Boge I have only used Vivi Novas and Kangers so results may vary there.

Juggy also suggests adding 2 or 3 drops of water if you find it getting unusually thick, but I haven't had to do that yet.
