Brand new cartos tasing burnt????

Ok, have tried several brand new 510 soft tip cartos. Filled by condom method and left for a day, add couple drops, all I can taste is a horrid burnt smoke. Blew them all out refilled, rolled them to dsitribute juice, left them to rest for about an hour and fire it up and they all taste badly burnt. These are brand new WTH gives? Help!

Thanks, I was wondering if I was crazy or it is just this bunch of cartos. Got them from Good Prophets, will have to ask Rob if any other problems.

Now that you mention it, I bought 10 cartos from GP and 1 out of every 2 died within a few hours (if they worked at all.)

Can anyone suggest some good ones and where to get. I have to have them for work now on 12-14 hr shifts and it would be less hassle at work, thanks. I am using a Riva batt if that helps and every now and them a 510 mega batt.

Same here with about 10 out of the last 15 cartos I got from Nhaler. It was definitely a sharp drop in quality.

In the past, it'd be about 2 or 3 bad in 15.

So, from a 13%-20% fail rate jumping up to 66%... Maybe it's a bad batch from the factory going around?

Just ordered a bunch from mad vapes, so I'll let you know how that goes.

I too have had this but ONLY when using my carto's with a LR atty.... slap em on my eGo battery and viola - taste has returned to normal. However TH and vapor seem to be a tad lower than I'd expect.

Could be you got low ohm ones. Seems the 2.5 ones sometimes burn too hot

I haven't had a problem at all with joyetech 3 ohms from cignot.

But, I just got a batch of Boge 3 ohms last night. The first one worked for a while. Then, when I refilled, it tasted burnt. And hasn't been the same since. I tried another straight out of the box, filled, tasted burnt.

Are these Boge's you all are having problems with?

Does anybody know if it was just an unlucky draw and more than likely the rest of the Boges I bought will be good?

Help!!! If these are known for problems, I want to hurry up and order a different kind.

Boge 510 cartos are generally very solid and reliable. Are you sure you're filling them correctly and then letting them sit for at least and hour to let the juices saturate the filler? I use a syringe to fill my cartos, but you can also drip from the mouth end. They take a lot of juice; 35 drops or more.

BTW, if your carto tastes burnt, it is burnt. Discard.

i have also found boge's to be the best performers, after trying almost every type out there.

The SLB's tend to burn after a few drags, I suspect poor wicking.

With the boge's, I can fill, vape nonstop until empty, refill and repeat, and never taste burnt filler.

Cigtechs or litecigusa both carry them.

You want to make sure you're getting at least 30 or 35 drops in them. I even put a drop right down the air hole and let it soak through.

I have filled it, let it set, filled it more let it set and nothing more is going in and its still burnt.

Ok I got some new ones and figured it out, its not a burnt taste , it is just the taste from how the things are made. When I take a new and just suck on it dry they just have that taste to me and for some reason it stays even when I fill it. I was hopeing to get use to it but I just cant.

Yes! I used to get cartos that I loved from VE but the last batch that I got was burnt or primer tasting. I now get the Mega 808s from Ikenvape and they are great. I think that Ross mentioned an issue with the cartos on another thread but I didn't know if he got them straightened out yet.

BTW- I don't think that there is anything that you can do to get rid of that taste. Ross told me to try soaking in high proof alcohol. Nothing that I tried worked.

I not only tried everything with those cartos, I sent the rest of the boxes of cartos to another member here and she couldn't do anything. Email Ross and he will replace them for you. He did for me but the replacements were just as bad.

Maybe you could get credit for something else.

I am sure he is not happy with his supplier which I am sure its Boge, I am just going to ask for a refund for the other 3 packs unopened or just swap for the lLR 808 as long as they are ok.
