So I'm trying to prepare for any FDA regs that may come down and was looking into making my own ejuice. I was going to buy a bottle of Nic from Wizard Labs and also bottles of VG and PG. I normally vape 24mg juice.

I've been looking through this thread and have come across some very impressive calculators but I just don't understand them - boy I feel stupid. My question is very basic. If I normally vape 24mg nic with PG80/VG20, how would I make a 30ml bottle. Do I buy a higher nic level and dilute it or what?

I'm not picky. If I had a really basic recipe saying "this much nic juice, this much PG and this much VG plus this much flavor" and abracadabra - here's your 30ml bottle of 24mg 80/20 ejuice.

Could someone help me out or point me to a really basic thread that may explain this??

I would like to buy the ingredients soon before they are out of stock again, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow thank you so much for the quick respone DetraMental - actually seeing the breakdown helps a lot. I think I get it now. Thanks so much!!! This should be fun...

30ml bottle at 24mg of Nicotine:
If you purchase 100mg nicotine the recipe is as follows:
Nicotine: 7.2ml 144 drops 24%
PG 80%: 17.4ml 348 drops 58%
VG 20%: 2.4ml 48 drops 8%

The remaining 10% is for flavor (3ml,60 Drops)

Thanks for the reply Levitas - this is a good idea. I saw the nic with the pg base. Perhaps I'll give it a try - thanks a lot...

Since you prefer more pg over vg, ideally, you should purchase a pg nic-base.

Were I you, I'd purchase 60mg PG nic-base, and cut it down with VG, and/or nicotine-free PG to get desired results.

And I'd TRY the EJuiceMeUp calculator.
You tell it:
1) What's your nicotine source (PG, 60 mg/ml for example)
2) What's your target PG/VG (80/20 for example)
3) What flavors are you using in what % (the flavors are almost all PG)
4) How much juice are you trying to make (30 ml for example)

And BOOM - it tells you how many ML of each ingredient to put in the bottle!

These are wrong, sorry. If flavor is PG (most are) and the Nic is PG, you end up with 92/8 PG/VG. If the nic is VG you end up with 68/32 PG/VG.

If you enter these same numbers into the ejuicmeup calculator with a target 80/20 PG/VG and 24mg strength, you should get these numbers (examples are using 100mg base with 10% flavor, and 60mg base with 20% flavor, both assuming nic and flavor are in PG):

Nicotine PG (100mg/ml) 7.2ml
PG 13.8ml
VG 6ml
10% flavor PG 3ml

or

Nicotine PG (60mg/ml) 12ml
PG 6ml
VG 6ml
20% flavor PG 6ml

Play around with the calculator until you understand it very very well. :)
