Brand New Ego-T User with a few questions

My Ego-T kit arrives in just a few hours (I've been anxiously tracking the package), so I thought I should get signed up!

I'm curious if I've already made a mistake -- a lot of the flavors I ordered are heavily VG-based, and right now I'll only have the tank atomizers and a few Ego Mega Cartos. (I ordered a plain atty with drip tip later, but it won't show for a while.) Will I be in trouble using high VG% juices in these?

I'm also looking for suggestions on clove flavors (my wife and I are switching from Djarum Blacks). I realize juice taste is very subjective, but I figure it's worth asking. I picked up some Clove Nobacco to start.

Welcome to ECF, I cant give you any advice on clove flavours but I can let you know that I am using 50% VG with no issues at all with a genuine eGo-T

Thanks for the info. I'd heard of a lot of people going 80/20 or less, so 50/50 working well is reassuring.

I also have a Ego-T .... love it for it's portability .... and have had no leakage issues.....

my experience is that the juice thickness is typically vendor dependent
some PG80/VG20 seem thick....some PG50/VG50 seem thin... so you'll need to sort out the vendor which is best for you

I nearly didn't get an eGo-T after reading all of the negative reviews but I ended up going to the joyetech site and finding a genuine supplier, Even then I was only game to go 30% VG but after I realised I had no leaks or wicking issues that many reported I Upped the VG to 50%. Maybe I got lucky or maybe it is a OEM specific thing but I am a very happy camper after trying several different hardware types.

Look forward to seeing you around ECF and hopefully someone else can chime in on the clove flavours.

As it turned out, my Boge 2.0 cartos showed up today, so I'm using those on some 90-100% VG juices, and putting the others in tanks.

After trying the Boge I had to stop myself from immediately ordering more, but I imagine i'll cave and get another couple packs of them by the end of the weekend. GREAT performance off my lil Ego-T so far. I can definately tell the difference between the tank and cartos.

Glad to find this thread. I too am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my ego-t!! I had seen the neg reviews and then met a guy who had been using one for awhile now and absolutely loves it! And he's a heavy vaper. He took it apart and showed me how it works and I was hooked!

For clove juice, I have found that lots of them are VERY powerful!! I have a small bottle from Revolver I could send you to try?

What I do is get marlboro type juice and clove juice, and mix them 2 to 1. That gives a better clove ciggy type taste to me.

But I also must say, get adventurous, try flavors that don't taste like cigarettes - there's an endless world out there, and so many of them are wonderful

I really liked the Red Dragon clove I got from revolvercig. It was really really good!

Viscosity determines vapability in an eGo-T. Flip the bottle on an all PG juice and the bubble rises to the top almost before you can get it inverted. With all VG, you can see the bubble slowly rise (thicker). A lot of this is dependent upon the other additives to the juice recipe. If it's one that uses PGA (pure grain alcohol) in the mix or a higher water content, it won't be so thick.

The moral of that story is to experiment and find a juice you like that that wicks well. Adding 5% water won't seriously affect the taste of the juice and will thin it slightly.

Cartos are also subject to really thick juices causing slow feed to the coil. I use 100% PG down to 70pg/30vg in my Boge cartos and find them very satisfying with no hassles at all. The tank was a good idea, but leaking caused me to switch to cartos.

I had to come back and pos try thoughts on my ego t...copy & pasted from 2-3 other threads. I felt I share post on each of them:
I did have prob w leakage....a few 8-10 drops of VG corrected this prob.
Also...I realized I did not have the cart seated down correctly and did not have an appropriate size hole in the cart door...that's why I was getting dry burn on my atty.

I wish the place I purchased for had included a instruction manual. I did get a pamphlet w my order but it was very very brief and did not go into all I needed to know to get a good vape. I plan to leave them a very polite review...I'm happy w them over all...fast service. Good fluids. I just had to step out and grab a 6.29 dollar bottle vg...( would of helped to know I would need this before hand too)

I plan to copy and paste this to other threads I commented on in regards to my ego t probs...it gets enough bad press...lol!! I prefer the tank over refilling cartos...


Another thing I note of I portance to leave w other noobs like myself who will be joining the ranks....

Before you fill your tank. Put empty cartridge tank & seat it good...then give it a few turns, take it off....when you take the door off go a head and take off the plastice tab from piercing the tank w your attty...it can get stuck to while you're Vaping and taint your fluid w a horrible plastic taste...!!!! I share my trial & error w you!!

So your are using pg only? Without a leak? I'm curious! How? I used my pg only fluid and I practically gushed...please share...I thing the vg might interfere with the th...thanks.

i'm using 100% VG in an ego-t type B tank with no issues whatsoever. great vapor, no wicking problems. kind of a tight draw, but not to a degree that's annoying. actually prefer the flavor and vapor production with this juice from the tank over the boge carto's.
