Just got my eRoll today. When plugged in it charges the eRoll fine, but the red light has not gone out yet and it's been at least 3 1/2 to 4 hours charging the PCC. Does that sound like it should still be charging?

I've contacted the store so hopefully they'll take it back if it is defective... but just wondering if it takes 4 or more hours to charge the PCC?

Every now and then, something I can't explain happens and the red light stays on when the PCC is all charged up. I just unplug the usb from the end of it and plug it in again and the green light comes on. I read others say this happens with theirs also. If its going to go wonky somehow, I guess its better to say its not charged when it is instead of saying its charged when its not.

Thanks for the feedback all ...
I did manage to get it charged up using the mains adapter... could be my laptop's USB port, or maybe it was the LED issue. All seems ok now though ...

Either way I'm kind of blown away how powerful it is for such a small format cig-a-like. joyetech hit a home run with it IMHO. I can see this being the starter kit I recommend for (most, unless heavy) smokers who want to start their journey into vaping. And I love the PCC! Even if it's an iPhone clone ;)

Bingo! That usb is the key. The current draw is much less on a laptop usb than the main adapter, and would take longer :)

Got my eRoll kit about a month ago and with it, too, the red light stays on even though it's been charging for 5-6 hours (from the wall).

Will try the unplug/re-plug => green light test.

Thanx!

I don't know if its worth it to you to contact the vendor but, if its doing that every time, I would think its defective.

After I responded (above) I found in another "eRoll PCC doesn't charge" thread the suggestion to NOT charge the PCC with an eRoll battery in it (which I had been doing).

So I removed the eRoll battery => charged the PCC (from the wall) => after 2-3 hours light went from Red to Green.

I wish they would make a home charger so we wouldn't have to use the PCC all the time to charge an eroll. JFYI, even when your PCC is fully charged but plugged in and you charge an eroll in it, the red light will go red until the eroll is fully charged and then, after removing it, with the PCC still plugged in, it will only be a few minutes until the PCC light goes green. I carry seven or eight fully charged erolls with me when out and usually don't carry a PCC so I make sure they're all charged up before leaving home so charging all those one after the other, I don't bother unplugging the PCC and that's how I learned about this.

Wow...so that was my real "problem" after all!!??!!

Thanx for clearing that up. Glad I don't have to hassle with returning a "defective" PCC!
