Hello all,

I received my eRoll in the mail yesterday from AvidVaper. I was so excited to get it because I was getting tired of carrying my mvp around and wanted something smaller. I heard it had decent battery life, which was my main concern. Upon opening the box and figuring it all out, I was able to get a few puffs off the battery before it died. No big, I wasn't expecting a full charge anyway. I plugged up the PCC for a couple hours and then went to rehearsal. In my car, again, I was able to get two or three pulls before it died. I still wasn't convinced I'd charged it long enough, so I put it away and decided to charge it when I got home. I put it on the charger at about 9PM last night and left it. When I woke up this morning at 8, both the blue and red lights on the PCC were still lit. I took it off the charger and went to class. I took about ten puffs before class and ten directly after, at which point the battery died and putting it in the PCC for ten minutes seemed to do absolutely nothing. Is there something wrong with my eRoll? How long should I expect it to last? I knew it would be a much shorter time, but this just seems ridiculous. How long should it take to fully charge the battery and the PCC? Any experience you guys have to offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

You should be able to vape a full tank before the battery dies on a new eroll.

If both your red & blue lights were on after a full night of being plugged in, maybe it'd be good to try just having the PCC plugged in to the wall without the eroll in it, to see if after 5-6 hours the light on the PCC turns green without the eroll in it.

Maybe also try the second battery with it, to try and determine whether the issue could lie with the eroll battery, or the PCC itself.

I did once notice that the blue light on my old one was still on throughout the whole night, the battery wasnt hot so i never really got to the bottom of why this was, i just rubbed the gold end (battery-PCC connecter) and then put it back in and everything went back to normal

The first time you charge up the PCC, do it without an eRoll in it. Within like 6 hours (longer if you use a USB port rather than a wall outlet), you should see the red light turn to green, indicating it's fully charged. Then you can charge an eRoll in it.

I don't think the instructions actually say anything about that, but I had that problem when I bought my second eRoll kit — the PCC was plugged in for like 12 hours and still showed red and blue lights. So I took the eRoll out of it and then the PCC charged up normally. It probably has something to do with how much charge a PCC has on it when you get it. If a new PCC doesn't have enough charge in it to charge an eRoll, then it gets caught in a loop of trying to send power to the eRoll faster than it can pull power from the cable and neither device ends up charging.

If you still have problems after doing that, I'd say your PCC and/or eRoll battery are defective.

A few notes about the lights:

Red Light
- If the PCC is plugged in and you see the red light, it means it's charging.
- If the PCC is not plugged in and you see the red light, it means it's out of power and needs to be recharged.

Green Light
- This only shows when the PCC is plugged in and fully charged. If you leave the PCC plugged in and stick an eRoll in it to charge, the green light will turn to red for a while. I think this is because it doesn't pass the power directly through, so the eRoll gets charged from the PCC battery which then replenishes it's power through the power cable.
- The green light will turn off once you unplug the PCC.

Blue Light
- This indicates an eRoll is charging. When the blue light turns off, the eRoll is charged.

I meant to mention in my previous post that after I got that PCC charged up without an eRoll in it, I've not have any trouble charging it again with an eRoll. Maybe some of them simply have ZERO charge when they arrive and that's why they can't charge with an eRoll in them, whereas when you run down a PCC, it obviously still has some charge left or the red light wouldn't be able to light up.
